Hôtel Beau Rivage Condrieu

Our stay at Hotel Beau Rivage felt like a quiet pause along the journey. It’s the kind of place where you slow down without trying, simply because of where you are. The location is truly lovely—surrounded by nature, with greenery all around. It immediately felt peaceful, almost grounding, as if the hotel blends naturally into its surroundings rather than standing apart from them. One of the highlights was the view over the Rhône River. Watching the water flow by added a gentle rhythm to our stay, whether in the soft morning light or later in the day as everything settled into evening. It’s the sort of view that makes you linger a little longer, even if you’re just passing through. As a stopover location, the hotel worked perfectly. It was convenient, easy to access, and restful—exactly what you hope for when breaking up a longer journey. Hotel Beau Rivage didn’t need to do much to impress. The natural setting, the river views, and its ease as a stopover made it a calm and memorable place to rest before moving on.

The room was clean. Carpets in the hotel have a very musty smell. Decor is weird, mix of old and modern that doesn't work. Everything was functional. Our room was very big with a view of the river, which was very nice. Secured parking was nice. We had dinner in the restaurant and it was good. Overall, our stay was nice. Just a little dated for my liking.

Lovely location on the river. Breakfast was plentiful; staff excellent. Restaurant expensive but very nice. Loads of vineyards on the doorstep. Would recommend.

Cockroach in the entree - how would you feel..? Rooms falling apart curtains falling off the walls and can’t even get a hot coffee in the morning as machines broken down - EVERYTHING has broken down. The whole place needs demolition. Restaurant staff are so untrained it is embarrassing and management who did not see a cockroach crawling out of the entree tell us there was no cockroach even though the waiter took it away immediately as 6 people saw the cockroach. Disgraceful attitude by management. We paid in full and wanted to leave immediately but management argued and told us we are lying when we didn’t argue and had already paid in full. Beyond appalling - this place does not deserve to exist. After visiting for 30 or more years this place has fallen apart. This hotel is an embarrassment to the region.

A perfect stopover on the way to Spain! The rooms are comfortable and housed in a charming, characteristic building. The bathrooms have been recently modernized, adding a touch of luxury. Make sure to book the restaurant—it's an experience you won't want to miss. We had one of the best dinners we've enjoyed in ages. However, the prices reflect the high quality of both the food and the overall experience. The staff were exceptionally kind and welcoming, making our stay truly memorable.

Stayed here many times. Rooms are a little dated but very comfortable. Could use an update on hair dryers.

Booked a suite which has a river view, well worth paying extra 😊 food is excellent, we chose the fixed menu (choice of main) with wine pairings, fantastic quality, pricey though!! Staff highly professional also knowledgeable about food &wine, helpful at all times and take great pride. Would stay again.

The restaurant is excellent. The rooms are maybe a little tired but, for our one night stay, perfectly adequate.
