I booked and stayed from 8th april to 11th april . We were recieved well and checkin and check out experince was very smooth . Every evening there was bonfore and some evet or other which the staff keeps you occupied . Ramalingam the cook was enquiring each and every table about the quality of the food and infact it was splendid. In one of the days we were to leave early to catch the toy train in the morning and we were given packed sandwiches , In teh evening Martin plays his piano with both indian and wetsern number which was very soothing and excelent .trust the same atttiude is mainatined through out

Fast check-in experience with “Coonoor delight” welcome drink. The room and washroom was spacious. Another sofa or one more chair was missed in our room which made in room dining a little less easy. The trees and flowers around presented a very relaxing atmosphere and weather was good too. The bonfire and housie game hosted by the staff is well appreciated. Overall a great experience!

Had high tea at Coonor entire to Savoy with my in laws who are 84 years and were feeling a bit dizzy due to the hair pin bends to Savoy. Mr Rahul , the property ***ager was personally there to look after us for our 1 hour stay and saw to it that we had excellent tea with lemon juice and sandwiches. Wow what an experience, excellent hospitality and he did give us a small tour. Well this is going to be our next destination. Location is beautiful and the property had do much history and the Bougainville street , with Jacaranda blossoming and to top it there was monstera deliciosa.Heavenly experience Thanks Rahul and team

Gateway coonoor is situated at a picturesque location in coonoor. this was a old building which has been renovated . While the rooms are big and renovated there is no view . the base category rooms are also not very good facing just a courtyard . with the price being charged this was not the best option with the ooty property being much better . the food menu was very elaborate and good . breakfast was good . service was good as well .

A truly well maintained property with all required amenities and activities. Situated at the center of connoor. Rooms have all modern amenities even thought the building is a heritage one. The staff of the front desk and those in restaurant especially the Chef Mr.Ramaligam were very helpful.

It Was A pleasent and peaceful stay.. Great Ambience... It was an altogether peaceful day spent with my wife & 1 yr old kid.. Guest service was great.. Special Mention To Subhakesh At The Front Desk For The helps rendered through out the stay.. But overall the property is very much overpriced!!!!

Had a wonderful and comfortable stay @ Gateway Coonoor. The heritage property is well curated and maintained. The staff is courteous and take care of all your needs. They arranged special heritage walks around the property and adjacent historical Church. They also arranged an early morning Nature’s walk, taking us through the beautiful town of Coonoor and Tea plantations, and giving us enough information about the town’s history, people and culture. Another amazing part of our stay was the food - delicious and a huge spread for breakfast! Notably Kiran & Evin made our stay as comfortable as possible. They also took the extra effort to post the complementary post cards to our family and friends. Waiting for an opportunity to visit Gateway Coonoor again with family for a comfortable and wonderful stay!

The Gateway Coonoor stay was perfect. The property has a old world charm to it. The staff is very courteous and attentive . Britto at the restaurant was very helpful and always available to attend to our requests. The place is highy recommened. The suite we stayed at was also right in front of a sit out area at the front of the hotel.

Very relaxing place, Cute little property. Lovely gardens and a lot of trees. Front desk, house keeping and restaurant all top class. Marshall on piano , Kiran , ever helpful and his lovely nature walk, Satheesh in front office helping us on ***y things, Chefs and Sri***tha in restaurant, Nagaraj of house keeping all contributed to our enjoyment. There were others too but I donot recall their names. Suffice to say that all are well trained, polite and courteous and smiling ! Room as well as bath room very spacious and very clean, shower luxurious . I wish cupboard space was a little bigger Spa was closed. It was a pity. Go there before April rush starts !
