Reviews of Kapetanios Aqua Resort

This has to have been the absolute worst hotel I have ever had the displeasure of visiting; our room was totally inhabitable- so much so that at approximately 12am at night, after not long checking in from a long day of travelling, my family and I had to book an emergency hotel, at a cost to ourselves, catch a taxi and stay elsewhere! Our room had an ant infestation, what appeared to be blood spattered sheets as well as what appeared bodily fluids on the other sheets, a nail sticking out, broken furniture, a dirty nappy left out in our ‘garden area’ which appeared to be wasteland with exposed pipes and wires. A handprint on the wardrobe, a dirty, grimy bath, some form of water at the base of the toilet, peeling paint and a smell of mould. It was disgusting!! Upon the discovery of the above, we immediately traipsed back to reception to inform them and requested an alternative room to which we were told there were none and we would need to wait till other guests checked out the next day, and then they would see what they could do. They did not appear shocked/ did not ask to check out the room themselves and our raised concerns.. they did not offer to change the sheets/ remove the dirty nappy or anything else. We were simply told we had to sleep there that night and that was it. I could not believe this when we had a 6 year old with us and we were raising concerns of blood on the sheets and bodily fluids/ mould with concerns to our health with my sister really coughing heavily in this room. When we came back to wait at reception for our taxi to a new hotel, after we had already been told there was absolutely nothing they could do to swap our room/ no rooms available- the man at reception advised he could see what he could do to switch us upon discovering we were leaving… this was of great concern. How could no rooms be available and then 20 minutes later, suddenly they might be able to move us?! We also noticed immediately upon arrival, how dirty the public areas we passed were, from the highchairs we walked past being filthy, mess left all around the pool side, chipped tiles by the poolside/ grimy pool. Everything looked tired and worn. My advice- stay clear!! Especially with children!!

It was my first time traveling solo and I met a lady that worked in entertainment called Laura I can’t fault her I’ll definitely be back just to see Laura again she genuinely made it worth while if you see this Laura thankyou so much ❤️

Travelled to Cyprus for my first trip not only first to Cyprus but also solo. Wasn't really sure on what to do and what was best out there i met a woman there called Laura who seemed quiet boy was I wrong! But she made my stay and trip amazing i will definitely be returning.

Me, My Partner and My 1 year old son was here for 7 days. Can honestly say it was the best holiday me and my partner have had and the best 1st holiday for our son. The resort has everything you need, and all the staff made our experience amazing. I never got his name but i THINK it was Chris/Christos, you know who you are anyway, massive thank you to you! My son loved Chris always smiling and laughing at him, made us feel at home and welcomed straight away. Definitely look forward to coming back maybe September haha. Can’t complain about a single thing. Food was also amazing. Thank you Lewis, Lainey and Crew

We recently returned from an incredible family holiday in Cyprus, where we stayed at the Kapetanios Hotel—and it truly exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding. After checking in, Tony the concierge welcomed us warmly with a big smile and friendly chat. He insisted on carrying all our luggage up to the room himself, not letting us lift a finger, which immediately set the tone for our stay. We had a bit of a challenging start to the holiday, as our daughter had broken her wrist just two days before we arrived, and on our first day, our son cut his foot quite badly in the sea. The staff were absolutely incredible during this time. Tatiana behind the bar rushed straight over to help—she carefully cleaned and bandaged his foot and advised us to visit the hospital. We would especially like to say a huge thank you to Tatiana, who went above and beyond throughout our entire stay. She checked in on us and the children every single day, always taking time to chat, making them feel so welcome and cared for. Her kindness and warmth did not go unnoticed and truly made a difference to our holiday. Our son absolutely loved the “Cinderella” cocktail she made for him—he said it was the best he’s ever had! A special mention must also go to Stavros and Christos, who were both exceptionally friendly and attentive. They made such a fuss of our children and always took time to chat, serve us with care, and make us feel completely at home. We also loved Sally, the entertainment host—she was fantastic! Always full of energy, she made us laugh and regularly invited us to join in activities. The bingo was a huge hit with the kids, especially when our daughter won—she was absolutely over the moon! The facilities were equally impressive. The lazy river was incredibly relaxing with stunning sea views, and the entire resort was spotless thanks to the hardworking housekeeping team, who made our room look beautiful every single day. The food was fantastic with plenty of variety, and the pool bar was a big favourite with the kids, serving burgers, pizza, nuggets and more. The entertainment evenings were perfect for families, with highlights including the fire show, mini disco, and traditional Greek dancing. Every single member of staff—from the bar staff to the waiters and waitresses—was friendly, welcoming, and always greeted us with a smile. Even the cats wandering around the resort were adored by our children and added to the charm of the place. A heartfelt thank you also to Pabos, the General Manager, who went above and beyond. He checked in with us daily to make sure the children were okay, which we really appreciated. We were genuinely sad to leave. This was our first time in Cyprus, and we have completely fallen in love—with both the country and the hotel. We cannot wait to return!

We came as a family 11 of us .The staff were very friendly and helpful .The staff loved my grandchildren .we came all inclusive and we had no complaints about the food .The rooms were spacious maybe in need of a little lick of paint but not an issue to us .The waterpark was great for adults and children alike .we loved the lazy river .The weather could have been better but didnt stop us enjoying ourselves .

We’ve just spent a week at the Kapetanios and had an absolutely amazing holiday. The location is perfect, and we’ll definitely be returning soon. The hotel is beautiful, the staff are incredible, and the welcome from reception was fantastic. A big thank you to Tony, Lama, and Stavros who went above and beyond to make our stay so enjoyable. They truly made our family feel happy and well looked after.

If you haven’t been here, you must visit, this hotel is incredible our second visit, and genuinely feels like our second home, the staff are world class, nothing is ever too much for them and we have such a wonderful relationship with them, a special shout out to Tony, Lama and Victoria, these guys always make our trip so special they are incredible, the hotel is beautiful entertainment is spot on, food is beautiful and the lazy river is my fave! We can’t wait too see you all again in September 🤍

This is a very late review and I should have uploaded this a long while back. This hotel was amazing. The cleanliness of the rooms to the pool area and dining/seating areas. All staff were friendly and polite and couldn’t do enough for us. The guy who runs the shop inside was brilliant. Always welcoming and even let my little girl have something of her choice from the shop when she was having a meltdown. The food was very good and something for everyone. We never had to complain about the noise of anyone staying in the hotel or anywhere. It’s a very relaxed and family friendly hotel. The pools were great. They have a lazy river around the outside of one which is a bonus to have and the slides were brilliant for the kids. The shops, coffee shops and restaurants were only a 20 minute walk away from the hotel which is a nice walk. The atmosphere in the evening was also good when they had their entertainment on and also for the kids when they were involved dancing with the entertainment staff. I actually had a problem on the day we were leaving where I left my hand luggage on a sofa in reception and only realised at the airport. I made a call to the hotel reception where Marina who was working at the desk found it and had it arranged to be delivered to me by taxi to the airport within 30 minutes. Without her I was stuck but was so thankyou for her quick thinking and planning. The value for money was well worth it and being there exceeded my expectations. I would definitely like to return here on holiday again.

Had a short break here as 2 adults and a 10 year old. From the moment we got to the hotel could not fault any member of staff we encountered. Everyone was so happy, welcoming and helpful, nothing was too much. Room was clean, spacious, everything in working order. Beds very comfortable and a lovely balcony. There was a variety of food for the buffet I think even the pickiest of eaters would find it difficult not to find something they like. Excellent catering for children as well. Food temperature was hot no matter what time you got into the buffet. If you didn’t fancy a buffet for lunch they had poolside snacks which went down a treat with our son. Great selection of drinks. The location is excellent with a great strip of shops, bars and restaurants up the road. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and would certainly come back here again.

Absolutely brilliant hotel, nothing is to much trouble. We arrived 2 days before my God daughter to surprise her for her 21st birthday. Tony and Vicent helped us plan and execute the perfect surprise. From banners and balloons in her room to recording her arrival at reception and bringing me out from behind reception to surprise. Thank you to Tony and Vicent for making this happen couldn't have done it with out their help.

We have just had a lovely holiday here, family of 5 including 2 teens and a 7 year old, all of us had an amazing time and not a bad thing to say about the hotel. Everyone was friendly and my kids made some lovely friends. The food was great and the kids always found things to eat from the kids area if they didn't fancy the other food on offer, this included chicken nuggets, chips, fish fingers, pasta and there was plenty of salad. Coral Bay strip is only a short walk away with plenty to offer, bars, restaurants and shops, my Son loved the Ithaki amusement park and miniGolf which is open until 8pm and has soft play, inflatables, a little fair ride, mini golf, trampolines, arcade and a bar. Coral Bay beach and Corallia beach is worth visiting, you can access by foot or bus which is very easy to use. Staff were very friendly and approachable when requesting new pool towels or when asking questions... they were always there to help, a big shout out to one of the guys working at the bar, I am so sorry but I have forgotten his name to give him recognition, my Son is called Kobi if you see this you'll know who you are....he misses his Cindarella's 🤣 (mocktails) . I would recommend this hotel and those due to go soon you will have an amazing holiday!!🥰🌞🍦🍹

Beautiful location with picturesque views of the sea and surrounding areas and an amazing water park. The room was spacious and very clean with lovely white robes and soft, white slippers. Delicious meals - especially liked the way they prepared the meats. Warm, friendly staff - Toni, Vincent and Chris - always courteous, always helpful. Only wished there was more variety in nighttime entertainment.

From arrival to departure, everything at the hotel was truly impressive! The staff went out of their way to help with everything and were very friendly. The food was delicious — everything was fresh and tasty. The hotel could easily deserve 5 stars, with its high standards and exceptionally pleasant service. The hotel manager could relax a little with the supervision, but perhaps that’s why everything runs so smoothly and pleasantly. I will definitely recommend it to everyone! ⭐
