Having recently returned home from The Cali in Cyprus after enjoying the most comfortable & relaxing holiday we have ever experienced, we have to say we thoroughly enjoyed staying there. From arriving we were impressed with the check in process, a simple form to fill in, a welcome drink and a cooling face towel. Then our key card with an explanation of the location of the buffet restaurant and bar. We were directed to our room and our luggage promptly followed. Our room was very comfortable and just what we had asked for, high floor, sea view, sunset view and one large bed. Having a lift near our room that would take us to just outside the buffet was a bonus and also allowed easy access to the pool area, We were impressed with the buffet layout and food variety. We were particularly impressed with the small amounts of each item of food and how promptly they were replenished or refreshed during each meal time. Being welcomed into the buffet most times by Puja Thapa who always made us feel welcome and showed us to our favourite table, made us feel very comfortable. Anita / Aneeta always made us feel at home when she was on duty, checking we were ok and when not busy finding time for a little chat. Other members of staff in the buffet that we were impressed with were: Adam, Sherpa, Sima Simu & Kamil. I enjoyed several amazing omelettes and also poached eggs which were expertly cooked by chef Basha. They were always delicious. Chatting with the Executive Chef & the Food & Beverage Manager on a couple of occasions we were very impressed with the way their teams worked to keep everything moving seamlessly. Dining in Fiki twice we were very impressed by Alina & Anju who worked extremely hard to keep the dishes flowing and make us feel special and very welcome. They both regularly helped out in the buffet and although mainly based outside the main dining area, always made a point of speaking with us. The indoor bar was mainly very good at keeping our glasses topped up with our favourite drinks. Seeta and Josh were standouts in terms of the waiting staff. The pool area was immaculate, there was no shortage of sunbeds, even at 10 or 11am. The lifeguard Hossam was truly impressive, he was very quick to help anyone struggling with the umbrellas or to fish towels out of the pool when the wind was blowing. He always spoke and asked if we were ok when we passed his towel station. The two TUI reps were very friendly and professional. I would certainly praise both Rebecca & Maria. There are plenty of shops and restaurants just a short walk away. There are two beaches in easy walking distance you just need to watch out for the traffic. It is a pity the coastal pathway near the resort is not as easy to access as it is near Paphos Harbour. We loved the fact that the hotel was quite small and not too full, it certainly helped make us feel relaxed most of the time. Not every guest was as polite and courteous as the vast majority of them were. Smoking or
