Just spent 3 nights at this guest house and was very pleasantly surprised as it was welcoming, clean, great location and best of all a fabulous full breakfast on offer. Lovely grounds where chairs and loungers are on offer for some chill time and great views over the city of Cork with only a 10 minute walk down into the town. Our family room was comfortable spacious and clean with everything we needed

We found the receptionist a bit curt and matter a fact to the people before us and ourselves ,but when we were leaving after a bit to explore surroundings ,more helpful ,but given that this is the first impression one gets of a place it was a disappointing start. Our small double room was a very small ,a corner room I personally found it a little claustrophobic, this wasn't a budget hotel/guesthouse,there was no where to lay vanity case to use etc in the bathroom, there was a shelf behind the loo but towels etc on that . The bed was comfortable and linen crisp . The" legendary "breakfast was average flavout wise, mushrooms inedible. . I've had better. Breakfast taff were pleasant. I had two nights booked for October which I cancelled on foot of this particular visit there .

Just back from 4 night stay - absolutely loved Gabriel House GH. Valerie and staff were so welcoming and just couldn’t do enough for you. We were going to a family wedding in Castlemartyr and Valerie offered to do photos before we left and loved hearing all the news following day. The room was perfect really nice and spacious with a wonderful comfy bed. Breakfasts were the best we have had we couldn’t resist full Irish each morning and an endless buffet alongside it. Lovely garden room and garden to enjoy . We will definitely return here. Thank you.

Homey and comfortable hotel with lovely grounds and friendly dogs. We had a nice room, comfortable bed and large bathroom. It was walkable to the city and train station if you don't mind a significant hill (although busses are pretty frequent). It looks out over the train station, but it's really unfortunate that recent building has obstructed the full view of Cork that I'm sure it once had. Breakfast was quite nice. Also they did our laundry for 10 Euros.

Started off a little rough GPS took us all around in circles in Cork. Waze got us there. It's up on hill but makes for a nice walk to restaurants and pubs. Parking is tight but the women at front desk would come out and help. They are real nice people there. The room was very nice and the whole place was clean and beautiful. I loved breakfast every morning. I would recommend this place as a great stay!

Gabriel House was WONDERFUL! Our room was quite spacious and the beds were very comfortable. Everything was spotless. Breakfast was terrific as well. Location-wise it was a short walk to MacCurtain Street where there were restaurants and pubs. Our favorites were Thompsons and Gallagher's. There was a lovely garden and patio. Another plus was on-site parking which is not typical in many places in the cities. I HIGHLY reccommend Gabriel House!

I have stayed here many times with groups of 16 and it is very comfortable and friendly accommodation. Staff, rooms, and breakfast excellent. Outdoor area very relaxing. A pleasure to stay here

Not only is Gabriel House beautifully appointed with incredibly comfortable beds, but the staff go out of their way to help. I was particularly impressed by the ease, warmth and banter I observed between all members of staff which to me is an absolute bonus because it influences the care and consideration the guest receives. Adrian in the kitchen went out of his way to accommodate me this morning by lighting the stove half an hour before hot breakfast service began, because I had an early bus to catch. I would have settled for the fine continental Brekky but his crispy bacon, egg and sour dough toast were very tasty and very welcomed. V on the desk was also warm as were all service staff. While on the outskirts a little, the hotel is a very easy walk into town which takes about 10 to 15 minutes depending on your pace, and it is a great location to reach traditional bars with live music( see Sin-E) and great food. If you have mobility issues, request a ground or first floor room. The bathrooms are great and hot water is capped at 38 degrees so no fear of scalding. I highly recommend this lovely hotel and hope to be back.

Good location, if you can walk hill. More of a 20(?) room hotel than a b&b and not as luxury as they market it as. It's an old building they've tried hard to get up to today's standard but in parts it's shabby . Ours was a nice big room overlooking the city and harbour but instead of a seating area which would have been nice and luxurious there was a 3rd bed which made it cramped and little room to store clothes etc. Shower room was small and not enhanced by a large 'designer' basin that made using the loo and shower awkward. Nice sheets and clean, good breakfast and ideal situation for walking Cork centre (if you are fairly fit). Plus was the free parking. Overall pleased but it's not 5*

Super good the beds here were insane and the staff were really nice and caring I got a free drink and the food was delicious and not bad price. W Ireland in the chat. Will come again with my friends on my way back to England.

Had a fantastic stay at Gabriel House B&B in Cork. The staff were genuinely friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help, which made a big difference from the moment we arrived. The room was spotless and really well maintained, and the bed was large and super comfortable—great for a proper night’s sleep. One thing that really stood out was how attentive the staff were: they noticed we had drinks in our room and, without us even asking, brought in a fridge and stocked it for us. Such a thoughtful touch! There’s also a big car park, which is really convenient, and it’s only about a 5–10 minute walk into the city centre. We were lucky enough to have a room with a lovely view too. Breakfast was another highlight—there was a great choice of food, and the cooked breakfast was especially delicious. Overall, a brilliant stay—would definitely recommend and happily return.

The staff went above and beyond to be friendly and helpful. Room furnishings were okay, beds clean and comfortable. We had cold showers the first morning . This was fixed by the second morning. The location was good for walking to dinner both nights. Breakfast was decent, including selections of cook-to-order meals, and a great coffee machine. The accommodation is on a hill with some very narrow 2 lane roads leading to it.

Really clean and friendly lovely breakfast. Rooms quite warm without heating on but beds super comfy. Good value. Only taking 1 star for the location as walking up the hill was a killer lol

The warmest welcome awaits you at this fantastic B&B in Cork. The breakfast fills you for the entire day! Eggs are from the chickens and ducks enjoying the hotel grounds. An evening g sauna with a glass of wine, al fresco if the weather allows. Staff who treat you like family. We can’t recommend Gabriel House enough
