Another brilliant stay at the Barceló Sands it’s like coming back to family every time we are back. You are greeted with a warm friendly welcome and a smile that lets you know you have arrived in paradise. The staff and management team cannot do enough to make your stay welcoming and ensure your every needs are catered for no matter how big or small. A big thank you to Georgina, Maria, Miguel Angel, Patricia and the rest of Barcelo Team who have made this a enjoyable holiday even when it’s been windy / rained the team where on hand to help.

Just had 2 nights here after coming from Lanzarote. Faultless hotel. With great location. Wonderful warm welcome from Ruben who explained everything for us. Able to leave luggage in storage while we waited for our room and given a drinks voucher. Room was huge, with separate sitting area. Loved the extra Appletize and wafers (nice touch). Everywhere was spotless. Had a patio and straight out to the pool area. Just had a touch of luxury feel to it. Breakfast was fantastic with lots of choice and great quality. 2 days was just not long enough. Would definitely like to return for longer next time.

Visited here Sep for 2 weeks, it was our 4th visit and it did not dissapoint. Unfortunatley i was poorly while i was there and had to go to hospital. I have to say the concern, kindness and support shown by the staff and management was second to none. All staff work endlesly and hard to make your stay a special one. We met some really lovely people, Special hello to Luca and staff in the pool bar you all work very hard. We look forward to seeing you next year.

Had a Great Weeks stay at this hotel. Great location, 10 minutes to the beach and 15 minutes to the old town/ harbour, also supermarket and fashion shops close by. We were allocated a 1st floor bedroom with balcony and pool view. It was super, large and comfortable and very clean, also had good air conditioning and tea making facilities. The pool area was very clean and well appointed, there was a small queue for sunbeds at 9am. The restaurant was good and also had the benefit of being partially outside and men didn't have to wear trousers which was a benefit for me. Breakfast was good with a wide choice, dinner was the same. The waiting staff were particularly helpful and friendly as Indeed were other staff members. Overall we had a great week, only niggle was poor WiFi

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at this hotel! The rooms were clean, tidy, and very spacious – perfect for relaxing after a long day. The highlight for me was definitely the gym. It’s hands down the best hotel gym I’ve ever come across, with everything you need for CrossFit or functional fitness. If you’re a gym-goer, you’ll be more than happy here. We went half board, and the food didn’t disappoint. Breakfast was always fresh, with delicious omelettes made to order every day. Dinner was just as good – different themed nights with plenty of choice, including great vegetarian options. The staff were all so friendly and polite, which really made the experience feel even more welcoming. For families, the facilities are great. The kids’ pool has a fun pirate ship slide, which my son loved, and there’s also a kids’ club on site – perfect for giving the little ones a break from the sun. The main pool looked lovely too, but it did get very busy, so we tended to stick to the kids’ pool. The location was ideal – right by the strip, which has everything you need and makes for a nice evening stroll after dinner. Plus, there’s a beautiful beach only 10 minutes away by bus called Grandes Playas, near the RIU hotel. The soft sand and clear water make it a must-visit during your stay. All in all, this hotel is a brilliant choice for both friends and families looking for a relaxing, enjoyable holiday. We would definitely return!

This was a return visit after 4 years and our 4th visit to this hotel.Not for any other reason than exploring other hotels and locations in the Canarie islands. Saw a week half board with Jet2 at a great price and jumped at the chance to return. I am pleased to report following my review in Oct 2222 the standards have been maintained. This is a lovely well manicured hotel with spotless comfortable rooms with really lovely and helpful staff. We had a suite 2201 which had a decent size balcony which was sunny all day, ideal for drinking tea as the sun rose and Rum and Cola as the sun set. The room was cleaned daily ,linens were fresh the beds and pillows were really comfy. We had breakfasts everyday with a varied choice of Items to suit everyones taste, evening meals were themed again offering good choice with quality ingredients. There are two bars in the hotel where the Bar staff were great and the prices of the drinks in the hotel were compatable with what you would pay in the town bars As it was Febuary there were plenty of beds around a lovely pool area. We really love this hotel , one of our favorites and can highly recommend it. This will not be our last visit

We just love this hotel. Great location. All the facilities were tip top. We were half board and found the breakfast and dinner food selections were varied and tasty. Would be nice to have a better selection of desserts. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We had a very relaxing 11 nights there which was much needed.

Really enjoyed our stay at the hotel, room and food were excellent. The only thing that lets it down imo is the WiFi connection which they were trying to fix, it was awful, only weak WiFi in reception and the tv also kept going off. Would be nice to have more English channels. Pool doesn’t open until 9am and can usually get a sunbed ok after the mad dash for select beds at 9am!! The staff are lovely and friendly, would definitely go back

This is a good hotel, in a great location near all the facilities, we really enjoyed our stay. The only downside was the quality of the meats in the Buffet Restaurant they were overcooked and not very warm.

Lovely hotel in a good location. Good food and enjoyable evening entertainment. Could do with a more enclosed, cosier sitting/reception area for cooler days.

This is an excellent hotel where we enjoyed our stay. We were half board and found the variety and standard of food to be excellent The pool area was very good and we rarely found it hard to find a sun bed. The hotel would benefit from a better, relaxed seating environment in reception area. Like many hotels corridors are open, so when weather is not so good this makes it a wee bit draughty and sometimes noisy.

Great few nights away. Friendly staff along with a clean, well appointed room (Deluxe with hot tub). Hotel offered great food at the buffet.

This was our 7th visit to the Sands and although some staff have changed, Maria on reception, Michael in the restaurant and Carlos in the bar are all excellent, knowledgeable and friendly. The new staff have obviously been trained to the same high standard and obviously enjoy their work. The hotel was spotless as always, lunch excellent and the restaurant was fine.
