Reviews of Chatur Playa Real Resort

I was very worried before arriving after reading some of the reviews, so here is my honest opinion. The good points are that the pool area is beautiful, with plenty of sunbeds and chairs available. All of the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The food and drinks were all to a good standard, and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. On the downside, there definitely aren't enough bar staff, which meant long waits at busy times. There also aren't enough tables and chairs in the entertainment room, making it difficult to find somewhere to sit in the evenings. The hotel, including the rooms, is quite dated and could do with some refurbishment. Overall, I would say this is more of a 2-3 star hotel rather than a 4-star. However, if you can get it at a good price, it's definitely worth giving it a try.

Don't come to this hotel if ur expecting pack filled kids entertainment and good food..location is ok but having to eat out every night when you've paid for all inclusive ia a disappointment. The food looked like.it had been frozen for months and brought out the day served dry as a bone .. No kids entertainment in site.. .. if I could give it a 0 star I would . Drinks watered down , cockroaches in the room .. disappointment glad we only booked for a week

Just got back from a week and wish I’d booked 2 weeks. Excellent for families. Clean rooms, fresh towels daily. Kids loved the heated pool and all round atmosphere. The staff at the hotel were great, even gave my niece Maddison a chocolate cake for her birthday, a lovely gesture. Entertainment great and huge shout out to Ernesto, espe and noidys as they were great during the day. Will most certainly book again! Thank you all xx

This is the second time I have been to this resort, the first time was good this one was amazing, there was so much to do for the children and the staff were truly amazing social shout out to Noidys who our children adored every time they had seen her they stopped to say hello and give her a quick hug and she was always happy to stop and see them even on her days off. The other entertainers were very good as well also spending lots of time with the children. As the adult I visited the bar a lot and Gleb was amazing, he had a very cheeky side and always made a joke as well making us laugh. The room was nice although the air cone wasn’t overly effective the resort compensated with fans. Cleanliness was kept to a top standard daily room service and cleaning throughout the resort. There is plenty to do in this location and going out on excursions would highly recommend you go to Tenerife first excursions to book these or there’s a kiosk in the resort to book which we also used and was seamless. It was a great value for money and lots of memories were made with an overall lovely atmosphere.

From the moment you step foot in the hotel it looks like paradise . This is really not the case . The staff are rude and ignorant- to the point you ask for help at reception desk and they just shrug they’re arms at you and roll their eyes especially Marianne I think her name is . The food is awful and to be totally honestly wouldn’t even feed it to my dog at home The rooms are meant to be air conditioned which is not the case ( just hear a faint humming noice in your room whilst sweating out ). Also be advised to not take your eyes off your child swimming for even a second in the baby splash pool as the life guard is useless and just sits there on his phone . My 2 year old daughter could have drowned today and it angers me so much that the life guard only has 1 job and can’t even do this right ?? Doesnt deserve to have a job in my opinion . This is 100% not a 4 star hotel which is as advertised , and in all honesty have had a better experience on a camping holiday in the uk !! The door keys to the rooms deactivate any time you lock your door and again just get blamed that it’s ur fault for putting to close to your phone - though this is incorrect as it has been in my wallet since the start of holiday and seems very unprofessional to walk back and fourth to reception to then get escorted back to your room still without a new card sorted . I could keep going with moaning about the faults about this place but it’s really not worth your or my time . Just avoid this hotel at all cost. Really thought we were going to have a good holiday since booking through jet 2 holidays but I am obviously very mistaken.

i stayed in this hotel i would like to say the hotel is good however the gym is awful theres not many weights or machines its more like an open space with mirrors the food somedays was good some days was bad.. not much to say on that the rooms however have no wifi at all so make sure to get more data lol. BIG ISSUE there was ants in my room on my bed and alot of them just the thought of having to sleep with them was awful..

Went with my 3 children alone, the entertainment team was fantastic my 5 year old called the woman her best friend, the snack bar is better than the main food and will fill you, if you ask for certain cocktails make sure you ask for alcohol because I was drinking a carrabein cocktail all week and another cocktail but it was a mocktail the night entertainment is too basic. Terrible the night time after the kids disco but even then the disco was the same songs on repeat for the 7 days we were there… staff were lovely especially the baldy guy in the bar and the black haired female, The younger looking one in the bar was miserable, the annex apartment we stayed in was clean and very spacious really handy near the kids play pool! I would come back to this hotel but please make night time and daytime entertainment better! We had a great time either way and felt so welcome and safe

A good all round hotel. Staff friendly and efficient. Ernesto the entertainment guy is fantastic. Room, we stayed in a junior suite, was clean with a really clever layout. Yes, the bathroom was dated and the fridge had seen better days but it worked. The beds were comfy and the balcony was spacious. The pool area had plenty of beds and brollies, no mad rush to get one. The male lifeguard friendly and helpful, the girl kept disappearing off to the loos to charge her phone and do her hair. Not that we utilised it but I thought the 4th floor adults only was genius for those who wanted peace and some privacy. Food, we found no problem with. Dinner- Choices of different meats and fish- most freshly cooked by the chef in front of you. Sides of veg, pasta, potatoes, salad. The usual cold meats and cheeses were plentiful. And there was always pizza, chips, and pasta for the fussy ones. Desserts could do with more choice but that’s just being picky. Breakfast- the usual choices with a chef doing fresh omelettes, toasties, fried eggs, and pancakes. The snack bar was great- lots of picky bits, and the usual stuff such as sandwiches, burgers, hotdogs…. I couldn’t fault the hotel, perhaps not a 4 star but not a 4 star price- a little push and it would be. The staff worked hard and the place was clean. Entertainment at night not great, but staff doing their best, we mainly stayed in the “pub” which was pleasant enough if a little dated or sat outside.

Rooms are spacious and clean. Always something to eat at mealtimes. Not too busy which is great especially with young kids Only thing I will say is that the family splash pool could do with some music and aircon improvements in the family section of the hotel. This is really disappointing and shouldn’t be advertised as Aircon

Lovely hotel, clean spacious rooms, pools were clean and good condition. All staff was friendly but Entertainment staff was amazing, they really tried to get people involved in activities and the evening entertainment. They were great with the kids and had kids club on through the day. My daughter asked me everyday to go back to kids club as they made it so fun for them. Noidys and another lady (name I didn’t get)always made effort to speak and interact with my daughter even when walking past. Entertainment team was all brilliant. The only thing that let this hotel down for me was the snack bar it was always nearly empty or cold hot dogs and burger and not a lot of option compared to other hotels we been to. We did just choose to eat in the restaurant where there was more option and hot food most days but we always went to try the snack bar first as could take it by the pool. But we really enjoyed 7 nights at this hotel

Lovely two week stay at this hotel. Hotel was clean, food was good with options for some fussy kids too. 10-15 minute walk (small kids pace) to the beach, with shops, bars and restaurants. 18 month old was poorly during our stay and the receptionists were so helpful, they had a doctor out to see him within half an hour and gave us directions to multiple pharmacies to get what we needed. Kids club was amazing for the two older kids (4 and 6). They loved going and usually won’t go anywhere without a parent in tow. The staff were so lovely and kind, kept the kids entertained with all sorts of crafts, games and playing at the park. The mini disco in the evening was the highlight of their day! The team went above and beyond to make sure they were happy and well cared for. Would definitely recommend.
