The place looks amazing and has great views. The pool looks great but is unheated so I’m not sure how much use it gets in the mountains. It seemed a bit run down to us. Broken shower doors, safes with missing locks and a general air of shabbiness. Restaurant menu seemed quite limited and they were very confused about providing for a vegetarian so we didn’t eat there. Recommended if you can get a good deal on the price.

We stayed in this hotel for a few days because we wanted to know the villages around and the truth that was a very comfortable hotel , large rooms , we had terrace , with breakfast included a very complete buffet type . Free parking Personal very friendly , very careful ... One but , if it is true that the doors of the rooms are very fine and you listen to noise in the corridor but people quite respectful because later at nine you didn't hear anything .

The Hotel is at the slope of the mountain Serra da Estrela. Excellent location, just a few minutes away from the peak. It was wonderful to see the snowy mountains and the breathtaking mountain views. The Hotel has a beautiful and picturesque decor, very nice and cozy. Our Master Suite was so beautiful, elegant and huge. There was a few things we noticed throughout the Hotel including the room, that we would advise the Hotel to refurbish (only minor things seen). The Master Suite should provide robes and also should have tea/coffee facilities in the room. The breakfast restaurant had a good variety of food and drinks with a wonderful view. The Medieval Restaurant has also a good variety of food (salads, cheeses, charcuterie, pastries, hot main meals and a selection of deserts). The food was delicious and was always hot. We also loved the restaurant decor especially the fire pit. We also enjoyed the swimming pool but we think could be a little bit warmer. It was written 26° but did not feel like it and other guests were also commenting this (if it was possible to have warmer it would be more comfortable). The Staff was always very friendly and welcoming. A special mention to Sr.Paulo Massano that was always very attentive, friendly and helpful. It was an amazing stay and we will definitely come back!
