Perfect location and pleasant staff. Room has a nice corner to relax, not just a bed. A sewage smell is noticeable in the bathroom, but mostly from the shower, so if you close the shower door it’s ok. We were on the third floor, and even with the heat completely off, it was very warm. The decor is dated, but charming. Worst thing is the nearby discotheque that starts around 11pm and doesn’t end until after 4am. I called the desk at 2am and the clerk said it’s like that every weekend. The city needs to address this, because we will never come back, unfortunately.

The location of the hotel is great, but the quality of the accommodation is not that great. I booked a Junior suite for 2 nights and the smell of the room was awful. There was a leak under the tub in the bathroom and the smell of standing water made me sick. The receptionist only offered a new bath mat, but did not offer a different room. I basically have to keep the windows open most of the time in order to air out the room and the bathroom. Breakfast is offered in the hotel basement, and there is no elevator/lift to access the basement. Be aware of this if you have mobility issues.

I made a reservation for 2 double rooms for the Christmas bazaar in Craiova on October 15. I also received a confirmation. On 20 November I received an email that the hotel could not accommodate us and cancelled the reservation. At the moment it is impossible to find accommodation in Craiova and if there is any it is extremely expensive. All I got from the hotel was a completely insincere apology. They also did not give me any help in finding another hotel. This ruined our trip. It is clear that the booking is cancelled so they can get higher rates than other guests. Be careful with this hotel so you are not unpleasantly surprised at the last minute.

The location of this hotel is great, but our room was not in great shape. There was a leak under the tub in the bathroom, and the smell of standing water was horrible. Good hotel, right were the old city center is. breakfast is fine. Not much plug/socket available in the room to connect electronics.
