**⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐** My husband and I spent two nights at Edgewood Manor for our 10th anniversary, and it was everything we hoped it would be. Originally, we had booked a one-night stay, but we decided to extend it to two nights. The innkeeper went above and beyond by upgrading us to the **Samuel Priest** room, which features an even larger in-room Jacuzzi than the one we originally booked. I had specifically been searching for a room with a Jacuzzi right in the bedroom because that's exactly the kind of romantic atmosphere I wanted for our anniversary. Having the oversized Jacuzzi practically next to the bed made the room feel luxurious, cozy, and incredibly special. From what I understand, the Samuel Priest room is named after the original owner of the house, which added a wonderful touch of history and charm to our stay. The innkeeper was incredibly personable and friendly. We spent hours sitting downstairs chatting with him and learning about the history behind the beautiful antiques and unique pieces he's collected over the years. He's truly an open book, with an abundance of fascinating stories to share. He also prepared an amazing breakfast each morning! Best of all, he was always just a phone call away if we needed anything. One thing I'd like to mention for anyone considering a stay: **Edgewood Manor is a true Bed & Breakfast—not a hotel.** Because of that, it's really impossible to compare the experience to a traditional hotel or even most other inns. It's one of those rare places that offers something genuinely unique. This is largely a one-man operation, and that's part of its charm. If you're looking for a bustling hotel with a front desk staffed around the clock and people constantly coming and going, this probably isn't the experience you're after. But if you're looking for peace, quiet, history, romance, and a more personal stay, I honestly can't imagine a better place. During our two-night stay, it felt like we had the entire manor to ourselves, and we absolutely loved that. We could wander downstairs late at night for a cup of tea, relax by the fireplace while classical music played softly in the background, and simply enjoy the stillness without worrying about disturbing—or even running into—anyone. It was incredibly peaceful, and exactly the escape we were hoping for. The location was also perfect. It was just a short drive to downtown Providence, making it easy to enjoy our evening. We had an 8:20 PM reservation at La Gondola and still had plenty of time to enjoy dinner beforehand without feeling rushed. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds we've ever slept in. It was incredibly plush, with plenty of pillows and blankets, and honestly exceeded our expectations. After busy days exploring the city, it was exactly what we needed. If you're looking for a romantic getaway—especially if you're hoping to find a room with an in-room Jacuzzi—I can't recommend Edgewood Manor enough. It was peaceful, comfortable, charming, and ma

Absolutely beautiful turn-of-the-century bed and breakfast inn. Our room was exactly as described with a lovely king bed and modern jacuzzi. Andy, the inn keeper, was gracious and accommodating, and served an excellent breakfast. It's not as close to Brown University as we hoped but it's in a lovely historic neighborhood. A bit pricey but well worth it!

We needed a room at the last minute and Andrew was able to accommodate us. The house is absolutely breathtaking. We needed to leave early the next morning, so didn’t get to experience the breakfast, but we had a beautiful night’s sleep in a room that took us back to a different time and place without sacrificing any of the amenities of modern living. It’s as close to time travel as we will probably ever get, and we will stay again and again whenever we are in Providence.

We had a wonderful stay! Everything was super clean from the moment we arrived. The owner personally welcomed us and even gave us an upgrade from the room we originally booked, which was such a kind surprise. The room itself was beautiful — cozy, inviting, and equipped with a lovely jacuzzi and a fireplace that made our stay feel extra special. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, and the staff were incredibly attentive throughout our visit. The house is truly a treasure: beautifully restored, full of charm, and clearly maintained with great care. While looking for things to do nearby, we discovered that just a 15-minute walk through a gorgeous park takes you to the biggest greenhouse in New England and the natural history museum. Such a perfect location! Highly recommended — we would definitely stay here again.

This is a fascinating, meticulously decorated former convent with each room unique. We stayed in the Colonial on the 3rd floor and the bed was super comfortable and the bathroom like a cool separate room

My fiancé and I stayed at Edgewood Manor this past weekend for just 1 night. We have never stayed at a bed and breakfast before but we were very happy with our stay and would absolutely stay again! Firstly, the owner Andy was very accommodating! We had originally booked for the previous weekend but unfortunately both of our children came down with the flu so we had to cancel. Andy gave us no issue with just moving our stay date to the following weekend. No additional charges. The manor was absolutely gorgeous inside and out! It was like stepping in a time machine and we found it fascinating ! We stayed in the Samuel Priest room and it was breathtaking! The bed was extremely comfortable, the jacuzzi worked perfectly, water was nice and hot, and the decor was just beautiful! Everything in the room worked perfectly and everything was super clean! Unfortunately, we didn't get to try the breakfast as we overslept so we quietly made our way out. Andy actually called as he saw us walking out just to make sure we enjoyed our stay and I thought that was great customer service as he could have just let us leave without checking how everything was. I have no complaints. The only suggestion I would make is maybe a mini fridge in the room but to me that is a minor inconvenience. We loved our stay here and look forward to staying again in the future! I would love to see how the back garden looks in late spring / summer! Thanks Andy for the wonderful customer service and hospitality!

The Edgewood Bed and breakfast is a place you can go back in time , and still get all amenities to be very comfortable. It’s an historic place , that should always be remembered. It’s one of the best kept secret in Rhode Island.

I wish I could give this place a better review, but my experience was genuinely disappointing from start to finish. When we arrived, there was no one there to greet us. We were told the innkeeper would arrive at 6 PM , he never showed. No tour of the property, no welcome, nothing. The room itself had no bottled water, which seems like a basic expectation at a bed and breakfast. When we opened the refrigerator, we found old food that had been left inside. The smell was so bad it lingered in the room for hours, and there was no air freshener anywhere to help. It was genuinely unpleasant and made the room feel neglected. I understand that people make mistakes, and I don't expect perfection. But this wasn't a minor oversight ,it was a combination of failures that made the room feel dirty and unwelcoming, and there was no one present to address any of it. We decided we could not stay a second night. Breakfast was supposed to be served at 9 AM so we went downstairs at 8:30 and again, no one was there. When we called to explain our experience, the innkeeper did offer us a different room, which we declined. What he would not do was refund the second night we did not stay. We paid for a service that was not provided and were given no recourse. We didn't stay for breakfast because it would have been incredibly awkward after the interaction. Mistakes happen. But when the response to a guest's legitimate concerns is to refuse a refund for a night they couldn't reasonably stay, that says something about how this property values its guests. I would not recommend it.

My wife and I went here for a little get away. It’s a stunning house! So regal and well furnished! Andy warmly welcomed us upon our arrival and made sure we had everything we needed. Would highly recommend!
