We’ve typically visit the resort as a golf group annually. Our last visit was 2019 due to COVID so it was great to return. A major improvement was made in the units with the addition of hardwood floors. During this recovery period, there are changes in services. Daily housekeeping is not automatic but can be requested at the front desk. Ditto for fresh towels. The Business center and in-room dining are temporarily closed. Permanently closed are the self-laundry facility and Primrose Spa. There are no microwave ovens. Inconvenient yes, but not a show stopper for us. Red Tail Bar & Grill hours of operation varied. When we were there in March, dinner at the main restaurant was Friday to Sunday only. However, food at the Bar was available. Breakfast was no issue with either the restaurant or bar open at 6:30 am. It was great to see Virginia again but sad to hear that other servers had moved on. Onto the golf courses. We knew the weather wasn’t going to be historically warm and dry but wetter and cooler. On the other hand it was nice to lots of green everywhere. Willow Glen is undergoing improvements which made the experience a bit disappointing. Improvements on Oak Glen were welcomed but the punched & sanded greens made for so-so golfing.
