For Mother's Day, we visited Halesbury Mill Hotel in Crewkernenfor afternoon tea. With three mums in the group, we wanted to do something special and the staff made sure it was perfect! We have a few Gluten Free people, and vegetarians, so it can be quite worrying when eating as a large group, but their afternoon tea selection was well separated so there were no worries! The cakes were delicious, and there were so many sandwiches we got to take some home too. Plus the kids could play out in the grounds too, which helped tire them out! Lovely all-round venue.

We had a great cream tea in the attractive bar area overlooking the big pond. The staff were very friendly and helpful getting the ramp out for my husband in his wheelchair to access the room. We had delicious sandwiches, one which was unusual with olives in it. We phoned a couple of days beforehand to let them know about Gluten free requirements and they made a super gluten free set of cakes, sandwiches and scones. Thoroughly enjoyed experience. Will come back again soon.

When we first arrived and was given the key I realised it wasn't the room I paid for. When I questioned it I was told they had to make some changes as others may have needed it for disability purposes - but "we would like the room" We were told where to go to find our room - "up and up" - was the directions given. No room names or number on any doors so we had to guess what room was ours. On walking in the smell of cat urine hits you. The room was freezing as the heating didn't work There was no mirror with light for makeup (there was a very rickety old dressing table) or a full length mirror. Just a couple of randomly placed mirrors on the walls. The pillows were so flat and very uncomfortable so had a really bad night sleep. We couldn't even watch Tv as it was so tiny and remote didn't work majority of the time so we had to keep getting up and down so we turned it off in the end At night - the main building where our room was, was locked. We were at the function - at the hotel - as we discussed this on check in. But they declined to tell us on check in that the main building gets locked at a certain time so we would need to hunt down a member of staff. So at the end of the night we had to walk back and forth across the stones - in heels - to find someone to open up to let us in so we could get to our room. There were no plug sockets by bed to charge phones either so this was most annoying All in all a really disappointing stay.

You cannot nock the surroundings and the staff at the mill ,it’s quite good for a Christmas party.with probably 70 other people from other companies in the thrift barn. But to say it was cold !that was an underestimation. It was absolutely bloody freezing. We sat near the chimney breast (which was already allocated to us, )which had an unlit fire in, and the wind coming down through it and the surrounding walls was bitter cold it was so cold. I didn’t take my coat off the whole visit,We didn’t want to stay really ! eat the food and most of the party, departed as soon as possible because of the freezing conditions asked if there was any heating in the barn and if there was ?? please turn it up I was told it was on maximum while this must’ve been a two bar electric fire because it was too cold to enjoy the whole experience which we wouldn’t repeat.

I stayed here on business, and when I needed to extend my stay even though they were fully booked they managed to move things around and find me a room. Absolute outstanding service and fantastic food. Nothing was too much trouble.

A beautiful setting and such a friendly welcoming hotel. Staff were wonderful and looked after us so well. We were staying to attend a funeral locally but the staff made a sad situation so much easier to cope with. Accomodation was spotless. Bed was extremely comfortable. Excellent WiFi connection. A really pleasant place to stay.

Absolutely lovely setting with impeccable service. Rooms are clean and spacious. Food is delicious and bars well stocked. The staff are exemplary, sociable and incredibly hospitable. The grounds are amazing if you have time to wander. A wedding here I’m sure would be terrific!

10 of us stayed here-over several rooms for a family wedding. Great venue Friendly staff Very accommodating to one of our party who couldn’t walk upstairs to the buffet and let us eat downstairs. We live nowhere near this place but if we did we would recommend it for large gatherings and weddings. Rooms well stocked and bed comfy. Probably some of the furniture in the rooms could do with updating but that’s part of its quirk and charm I think. Lovely friendly staff. Lovely food Lots of parking and clean toilets in the tithe barn which is always important.

We stayed for two nights for our friends wedding. There were a few issues with the room which were rectified very quickly by staff going above and beyond for us. Breakfast was really well done, lovely selection. We really can’t fault the customer service and kindness of the staff. As two parents of a disabled child we really appreciated the few nights break and they made sure we had a wonderful time. We really appreciate it.
