Prince Hotel Da Nang

My experience at the Prince Hotel this time was terrible. The hotel management team assigned very poor rooms to bookings made through Ctrip. I booked a high-floor sea-view room half a month in advance, but upon arrival, they put me on floors 5-7, despite the hotel having over 20 floors. After I raised my concern, they reluctantly agreed to move me to a higher floor, making me wait over an hour to check in, while other guests checked in immediately. All guests from Ctrip were left waiting in the lobby. I booked for two nights, but on the second day, they insisted I move out of the high-floor room and switch to the 9th floor, even after Ctrip tried to mediate. To be fair, the high-floor room itself was quite nice. However, the hygiene was subpar; the slippers provided had clearly been used, and the bedsheets had holes in them.

The soundproofing in the sea-view room was very poor. Because it's by the sea, the sound of the waves was extremely loud, and the glass doors at Prince didn't block out the noise effectively. It was incredibly noisy in the middle of the night. Later, I switched to the Peninsula Hotel next door, and the soundproofing was much better. If you're sensitive to noise when sleeping, you should seriously reconsider staying here. The front desk staff's attitude was mediocre and they weren't able to resolve the issue.

The views are stunning when the weather is clear, and the top-floor balcony room is very spacious. The front desk staff were also very friendly. The location is great, about a 20-minute taxi ride away, and the beach is right downstairs. Breakfast was a bit mediocre.
