Location convenient close to pier, and with beaches both sides. Value for money. Breakfast may be improved but generally all good. Would stay in cottage house next time (closer to sea, and more unique)

We stayed at Tepanee beach for a week. We didn't want to leave anymore. The owners, Silvia and Andrea, in addition to being extremely pleasant people to converse with, have created a small paradise in Malapascua, with a keen eye on good food, the peaceful atmosphere of the environment and respect for the nature in which they have invested lots of energy. At Tepanee you will find all the elements to be able to relax without getting bored, to rediscover yourself in nature, in slowness and attention to small details, including a small multilingual library from which to draw wonderful stories! A warm hug, we will definitely see each other again

The Tepanee Resort can actually be recommended: - simple but clean rooms. Unfortunately, they are a bit noisy and you just have to be lucky with the award. There are bungalows whose terraces are completely on the path with no view - which, in contrast to others, just seems a shame. - a simple breakfast buffet, which unfortunately is only offered from 8:00 a.m. and is therefore wasted money for active divers who are already on the boat. The Filipino dishes here are often good, but the fruit and vegetables are very carelessly prepared. Even if asked, nothing can be prepared here. I would be happy to recommend the resort, especially because of the great location, because it is located on a very beautiful and protected bay that is bursting with biodiversity and offers a retreat for young black tip reef sharks. But here comes the but: - the price for the rooms is too high - The bay is controlled by the owner and staff and care is taken to ensure that snorkelers behave well. What sounds good in itself, however, degenerates into the fact that there is often shouting, whistling and megaphone talking across the bay. An absolutely absurd situation in which the owner of the resort apparently doesn't find any solutions to help beginners in snorkeling who are in trouble (e.g. with floating rings that they can use to adjust the mask/the concrete blocks are already on the ground) - but only in a very disgusting way. There was even shouting back and forth in the bay from snorkelers and owners. Simply unpleasant. My tip: Get a cheap hotel and pay the 200php entrance fee to snorkel on site in the bay. The bay is worth it, but the hotel is not worth it.

We loved this hotel as the location is beautiful with a fantastic view over the blue sea and the clear water. The little beach is protected which means, you can only go to sea for snorcheling which is fantastic as this hotel makes a big contribution to keep the seaworld as much protected as possible. Who does not like this or wants a place to swim and play in the water should choose another ressort. The rooms are beautiful and the food in both restaurants are delicious with a fantastic Italian focus. The manager Andrea is always there and you can see that he is putting all his effort in this wonderful resort. We had two dinners at the restaurant and really had excellent dishes. We will come back!

The hotel has a private beach for customers only, it’s the best beach on the island as it has black tip sharks basically everywhere! It’s shallow and has lots of sea life and coral, it is protected so you can not stand on the coral and there is a limit to how many people can go into the water at one time which we loved as you can really see they are protecting the sea. The hotel is also amazing and ensuring single use plastic isn’t used to also protect the sea. Room with a beautiful view, warm shower and amazing location. Would highly highly recommend. The food and drinks were lovely, we used the tab system so paid at the end which was nice not having to have cash with us all day. The sun loungers are of high quality too which make for a lovely sleep. The hotel arranged for a women to come and give me a massage in their spa room which was nice as she went outside to cut fresh alo Vera to use on my sun burnt back. Great place. Best on the island.

The bungalows are well equiped, clean and located on a beautiful spot. The service is excellent, great attention from the staff. However the breakfast is incredibly minimalist for the size and pricing of the resort. And, red flag, I have been charged almost one euro (50 pesos) for each page I had printed from the reception. Inacceptable when you pay, in the Philippines, more than 100 Euros for your bungalow. To the owners, you want to make money from your beautiful and well managed hotel, great!! Bud don 't be to obvious!!

My wife and I had 5 nights here during January with one of the bungalows overlooking the sea. Some positives and negatives regarding our stay experience; Positives: - Great view - Reception staff friendly & helpful - Room was clean and a good size for a couple - Private beach / good snorkelling Negatives: - The onsite restaurant (Amihan) was expensive, we had the grilled fish and a tuna steak which we didn’t think had much flavour or was particularly fresh. We didn’t go back. Other cheaper, restaurants on the island seemed to have better quality food, much more seasoning and better ingredients overall. - The bamboo bed was very creaky, any movement resulted in a loud noise. Our door didn’t close properly either. - The breakfast service was poor (again compared to nearby competition). Overall the island of Malapascua was great (including. Of the course the diving), unfortunately we expected a bit more from Tepanee based on other online reviews we had seen and their pricing which seemed to indicate they were at the higher end of the local market.

Loved Malapascua. Encourage everyone visiting to go for a long walk around the island...not coup up in resort. People are wonderful and so many hidden gems. Staff friendly here and helpful. Enjoyed likely the best suite. Food good...focus on Italian here....so pizza very good. No dive centre so you have to walk to dive centre which is 500m or so. TSD...Thresher Shark Divers so you can map it.
