Toyoko Inn Daejeon Government Complex

Not far from the subway station, about a ten-minute walk. The breakfast in the morning was pretty good, though unfortunately, the dining time was a bit short, which led to the breakfast area being overcrowded. Check-in and check-out times are quite strict, 3 PM for check-in and 10 AM for check-out, which is quite typical of Japanese hotels. The air conditioner leaked all night, soaking the whole desk. Luckily, the staff cleaned it every day. The front desk staff were friendly, so overall, the service attitude was still very good.

The location is excellent. If you're going to Daejeon DCC for a game or event, this is a great choice. You can get to the venue by taxi or bus. You can also reach the hotel from Seoul Station (a quick taxi ride) or Incheon Airport by express bus. It's about a ten-minute walk from the bus stop. There are plenty of restaurants near the hotel, including fried chicken and Korean food places, as well as coffee shops like Starbucks and several convenience stores – very convenient. The rooms are typical Japanese style – quite small, but they have everything you need, including a bathtub. The hotel has self-service washing machines and dryers, and the front desk staff are very friendly and can communicate in English. I highly recommend this hotel!

I've always found Toyoko Inn rooms to be quite small, but this location offers surprisingly spacious rooms that are great value for money, with decor just like in Japan. If you're relying on the subway, be prepared for a bit of a walk as it's situated between two stations.
