We are writing this review as experienced travelers to warn international guests. Do not be fooled by the word "Hotel"; this is essentially a Vietnamese family’s home masquerading as a hotel, operating more like a cheap, short-stay motel for young local couples, complete with paper-thin walls and tacky decor. Having traveled extensively across Vietnam and stayed in many different places, this is the very first time we have encountered such atrocious service and absolute filth.
To be fair and objective: the bed and pillows were comfortable, and the owner was generally quick to respond via WhatsApp and helpful in organizing our private car transfers. However, the on-site reality is a complete nightmare.
1. Severe Hygiene Failures & Absolute Filth
The entire room was covered in dirt, smudges, and mysterious stains; it felt disgusting to stay in. Upon our late-night arrival, we immediately noticed the bed sheets were visibly dirty, and the bedding smelled stale. The night staff promised to change the sheets the next morning, but this was a blatant lie. For our entire 3-night stay, no one cleaned the room or changed the dirty sheets, with management offering an absurd excuse about an "injured cleaning lady." We were so disgusted we had to sleep in our clothes. The cleaning between guests is clearly nonexistent: the floors, windows, and mirrors were filthy, the balcony was dirty, and there was even a cigarette butt left in a flower pot.
2. Bizarre Lack of Basic Amenities
- Room Climate & Hardware: The room was freezing cold. We had to practically beg the staff for a portable heater (which they eventually provided) just to stay warm. Additionally, there is no internal door latch for security, and no "Do Not Disturb/Make Up Room" signs.
- Bathroom & Toiletries: Unbelievably, the toilet was completely missing its seat. When confronted, the staff acted as if this was perfectly normal. After heavy insistence, they finally provided a seat but flat-out refused to install it leaving it completely unattached and constantly sliding off the bowl for our entire stay. There is also no shower partition, meaning the entire bathroom floods every time you bathe. Moreover, the staff was genuinely shocked that foreign guests would ask for toilet paper, expecting us to rely solely on the bidet spray.
- No Trash Cans or Tissues: There was not a single trash can in the bedroom to throw away garbage (only one tiny bin by the toilet), and absolutely no facial tissues were provided.
- Towels: They only provide cheap, compressed disposable towels. When we practically begged for real, reusable towels, the owner seemed genuinely baffled as to why we couldn't just use disposables. Once finally provided, they strictly forbade us from placing towels on the floor to step on after a shower - a standard safety practice worldwide.
3. Noise, Safety, and Unprofessional Staff
Because this place operates like a short-stay motel, there is zero internal or external noise control. Outside, there is a street karaoke spot where locals blatantly violate the 10:00 PM noise curfew, and the hotel owner flat-out refuses to call the police to resolve the issue. Inside, we had to endure a neighbor blasting music and making extremely loud, inappropriate noises behind closed doors - we could hear absolutely everything.
After 9:00 PM, the reception is completely abandoned. We had to personally hunt down a staff member to quiet down the drunk neighbor because the owner ignored our WhatsApp messages. Additionally, they lock the main doors after 9:00 PM for "security," forcing guests to navigate through a creepy basement just to leave the building. The on-site staff lacks basic customer service skills, speaks zero English, and refuses to use WhatsApp (insisting only on the local Zalo app, which is useless for foreigners). You are expected to carry your own heavy luggage up the stairs yourself. Overall, the staff is rude and completely unaccommodating.
