IMMEDIATE WARNING: UNSAFE, INFESTED, AND GROSS MISREPRESENTATION OF “FOUR-STAR” STANDARD
This property is a complete and verifiable disaster and a gross misrepresentation of the advertised "four-star" standard. It is fundamentally unfit for human rental due to serious health, safety, and hygiene violations. I was shown two consecutive filthy, broken units, causing immense distress while I was already suffering from an arthritis flare-up. The sheer volume of unacceptable issues warrants immediate removal from the Trip.com platform.
We checked out immediately and are demanding a full refund. Future travelers: Stay Away.
I. IMMEDIATE HEALTH AND HYGIENE HAZARDS
The unit is infested and poses a serious health hazard. These are not minor cleanliness issues—they indicate gross negligence:
Active Pest Infestation: We observed a clear bug infestation, including a winged insect in the shower and cocoons hanging from the ceiling.
Widespread Mold: There is black mold on the bathroom curtain and significant mold accumulation in the corners of the shower.
Filth & Contamination: The refrigerator and freezer are dirty. The kitchen counter has marks, stains, and pink discoloration suggestive of bacterial growth.
Contaminated Linens: The sheets were damp, and the extra bedding/blankets were dirty, smelly, and appeared unwashed for months.
Dirty Cookware: The frying pan was scratched and greasy, all cookware was dirty, and there was a broken rice pot and a broken plate in the kitchen inventory.
II. CRITICAL SECURITY AND MAINTENANCE FAILURES
The unit is structurally compromised and unsafe due to broken security features and widespread damage:
Security Breach: The locks on the windows and the balcony are broken and non-functional.
The door to the back balcony does not close properly.
Three windows have broken handles.
Broken fixtures were present in both bathrooms.
Widespread damage, discoloration, and black marks cover the walls, floors, and entryway throughout the apartment.
III. GROSSLY WORN AND DEFICIENT FURNISHINGS
The apartment is equipped with damaged, worn-out furniture that is not fit for use:
The sofa has damage, rips, tears, and extensive staining, as do the foot cushions.
All furniture is damaged and appears very worn and used, not new.
The dining room chairs are all dirty, and a chair is broken.
The TV stand has excessive scuff marks and nicks.
We were only provided one key for two people, and the second bedroom and bathroom were locked and inaccessible.
IV. COMPLETE LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM & PRIVACY VIOLATION
To cap off this unacceptable experience, housekeeping walked in on me at 12:23 PM, despite me having notified them an hour prior that my official check-out would be at the agreed-upon 12:30 PM. This is a clear breach of privacy and demonstrates a total lack of respect for guests.
The unit’s condition—filthy, dangerous, and infested—is a direct breach of any reasonable rental agreement and is not just "too much for the price"; it is a zero-star experience masquerading as four-star accommodation.
