Dali Ancient City August Inn

The owner was warm and friendly, helped us make coffee and introduced Dali. The inn is quiet in the bustling area and has convenient transportation.

It completely exceeded my expectations. The homestay has two courtyards with different styles and special flavor. I switch back and forth between the two courtyards every day. It feels like I am experiencing two different life atmospheres at the same time, which is very interesting. Especially in the afternoon, the sun shines in the courtyard, and I have a cup of tea and don’t want to move at all. There is also a special reading and writing room. What surprised me most was that there is a cute kitten in the hotel. It is so cute. The decoration of the room is also very tasteful! The location is also great. It is very close to the ancient city and can be reached in one or two minutes on foot. But to be honest, the courtyard of the hotel is too comfortable. I originally planned to visit the surrounding ancient towns on the first day, but I stayed in the courtyard all day and didn’t want to go out at all. Haha. The boss and the lady at the front desk are very nice, enthusiastic and considerate. My trip to Dali this time was completely a p-person itinerary. I didn’t do any strategy. It all depended on the boss’s recommendation.

The B&B is very close to the ancient city. There are two parking lots nearby. I drove here by myself. I suggest parking directly at the South Reservoir parking lot and then going to August Inn. It only takes less than 5 minutes to get there. The boss also prepared a small card for the New Year season. It's very thoughtful! Thank you~ The bed is very comfortable. The recommended food is also very delicious. I like Dali and will stay here next time~

Friends who like quietness can book this place. It is indeed a good place to be quiet in a hustle and bustle. Hahaha. I don’t want to go out after I came here. But there are many places to eat nearby. The boss also kindly sorted out a lot of local delicacies for us. Anyway, we just have to eat them. This is really great!

The hostess of the accommodation was very welcoming. She called us in advance to let us know if we couldn't find the place. She also introduced us to delicious restaurants nearby. We ate at a mushroom hotpot restaurant and it was delicious. I will stay here again next time.

When I woke up in the morning, I looked at the roof through the curtains in bed. When the weather was good, I could hear the faint cooing of pigeons, and when it rained, I could hear the soft sound of rain falling on the roof... It was very healing. The boss and his wife were very easy to talk to, and the restaurants they recommended were all very good. The cat Yang Dake would come to visit me every night to say hello, which was very cute. Thanks to the boss for picking up the parcels for me at two different express delivery points. It is very convenient to walk to Erhai Gate from the B&B.
