Dali Upland International Youth Hostel

The in-room amenities were quite functional and had everything we needed, making our stay convenient and hassle-free. The decor was aesthetically pleasing, not jaw-dropping but definitely not tacky, so photos for social media would look perfectly fine.

Just got back and remembered to leave a review! This is one of the best value-for-money hotels I've stayed at. The service was warm, thoughtful, and attentive, and the environment was elegant, comfortable, and pleasant. The room decor was cozy and unique, and everything was spotlessly clean. All in all, I'm very satisfied and will definitely stay here again on my next trip.

The environment is quite good, and the public areas are spacious. The bedding is also relatively clean. Here, you can work with others or find people to play cards with. Many international guests stay here, making for a pleasant experience.

The rooms are clean and tidy, the public areas are spacious, the staff are enthusiastic, the breakfast is delicious, and there's a coffee bar. I've been here twice and will definitely come again.

My bestie and I stayed in Dali for a while and found our ideal youth hostel. The environment here is really great, with all rooms having private bathrooms, and everything is clean and tidy. They also have a lot of activities, and it was so much fun staying here with my friend. I'd say this is probably the cleanest youth hostel in Dali.

The hotel seems fairly new, and the facilities are decent overall. However, there were no disposable cups. The makeup remover pads shed fibers when I used them on my face. The bathroom door mechanism was a bit finicky and annoying. When I first arrived, the woman at the front desk was on the phone and didn't acknowledge me, even when she saw me walk in. I had to proactively ask her if she was checking people in, and she continued her call while asking if I was checking in. Later, when I came back from exploring, my room was stuffy and hot. Since the front desk was just a few steps away, I went to ask if the air conditioning could be adjusted. She then coldly told me I could send a message on WeChat! I was speechless 😓! I was already at the front desk, just adjust it, right? Then, she reluctantly adjusted it with a sour face. While it's an international youth hostel with a decent environment, the front desk's professionalism and service attitude are really lacking! It made for an uncomfortable experience.

The stay was very good. The bedding was comfortable, and they provided towels and slippers, plus bottled water daily. The room had a separate wet and dry bathroom with plenty of hot water. Drawing the curtain created a cozy private space that didn't feel cramped. It could feel a bit tight with many people, and large luggage had to stay on the floor, but it was quite comfortable with fewer guests. My roommates were all considerate, and the hostel organized daily activities, making it easy to meet people if you're social.

Extremely satisfied with my stay. They offer both dormitory beds and private rooms, and the breakfast spread is excellent.
