Dali Haixi Seaview Hotel

The room facing Erhai Lake offered a fantastic view, and stepping downstairs immediately led to great photo opportunities, which was incredibly convenient. The service was also very attentive and warm. I particularly liked the bamboo fiber tissues used by the hotel; it's a small detail that speaks to their quality. I do feel the room rate was a bit on the high side, though.

I've always been a bit hesitant about staying in B&Bs, but I saw this one had zero negative reviews, so I decided to give it a try. And it was indeed very good. My only complaint is the price, everything else was perfect. Even though the hotel has been open for a few years, it's very well-maintained, and the service is excellent. Breakfast isn't a buffet, but there's a good variety of options. The room faces Erhai Lake directly; you can even see the lake from the toilet.

This hotel was recommended by a friend for my vacation in Dali, and I had a really satisfying experience. It's great value for money, especially since during the peak season in August, most guesthouses in Dali are easily several hundred to over a thousand yuan. This place is on the west side of Erhai Lake, a little distance from S Bay, so it's not too noisy but still lively enough. The breakfast is healthy and just right, with plenty of options like eggs, soy milk, rice noodles, and snacks. I stayed in a ground-floor sea view room by myself. Before arriving, I was a bit worried about noise since it's by the road (I need a quiet sleeping environment), but it turned out to be fine. It was very quiet in the evenings and early mornings, and it was convenient for taking photos by the lake. The bed in the room was very comfortable; my neck and back aren't great, so I'm particular about bedding. The barista at the front desk makes a delicious coffee latte, and the service manager was very enthusiastic, recommending I visit Wuwei Temple to avoid the crowds (other places were too congested). I plan to come back during the off-season and stay here again; the experience might be even more unique.

The room was spacious and bright, spotlessly clean, and the overall decor was new and elegant. The bed was soft and comfortable, making for an exceptionally pleasant stay. The huge floor-to-ceiling windows offered fantastic views, and the scenery outside was delightful. Waking up early each morning, I'd quietly enjoy the view from the window, relax, and feel completely content. On clear days, you could even watch a stunning sunrise directly from the window, facing the perfect viewing direction – it truly set the mood. The hostess was incredibly warm and friendly, with a cheerful and generous personality. She was sincere and easygoing, making interactions very comfortable. Her attentive and thoughtful service was truly heartwarming. I'm so glad I chose this accommodation. I had a wonderful and relaxing May Day holiday, waking up to beautiful scenery every morning. The location is quiet and secluded, away from the bustling crowds, with unique and special views. Downstairs, the famous long bridge offers breathtaking scenery, often attracting newlyweds for wedding photos. It's tranquil, peaceful, and picturesque – I genuinely recommend it!

The room was quite clean and the facilities were relatively new. You can see Erhai Lake from the room, which offers a great view. Breakfast was good, and the coffee was delicious too.
