Yanniao Guiqiao Hidden Luxury Hotel

An excellent stay right in the heart of Dali Old Town. The location is incredibly strategic — you step outside and you’re immediately in the middle of all the hustle and bustle, yet the room itself is clean, comfortable and quiet for a good night’s rest. The host truly made the stay exceptional. He is extremely friendly, welcoming and genuinely helpful, always happy to share local tips and recommendations that made exploring Dali so much easier and more enjoyable. The room was spotless and the bed was comfortable — exactly what you need after a full day of walking around the old town Breakfast was a highlight: delicious, authentic Dali home-style cooking that added a special touch to the stay. The mixian noodle is very good compared to the ones we tried outside (and we got to try Xizhou baba too, which is a Dali specialty equivalent to sourdough bread). Highly recommended for anyone who wants a comfortable stay with a fantastic host and an unbeatable location in Dali Old Town. Would definitely stay here again.

Chic setup with limited rooms. Host was very hospitable and made us feel right at home. Provided great recommendations on how best to enjoy the east and west of Erhai. Seating toilet comes with modern bidet, a rarity in China accommodations. Was able to get laundry done with on site washer and rooftop drying.

Would stay again with this hotel when I have chance to visit Dali in future. The breakfast served was so delicious and well present. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I definitely will recommemd this to friends.

The hotel is conveniently located near restaurants and shops. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, and I was pleasantly surprised to find a bidet-style toilet. Breakfast was included and offered just the right amount. I have a gluten allergy, so having gluten-free options would have made it even better, but overall it was a great stay. The staff also helped us arrange transportation for our trip to Lijiang the next day, which we really appreciated.

A slice of modern heaven in the ancient city of Dali. Just off the main road in the heart of bustling crowds, this property will wish you had booked longer. It seems like a mix of modern Dutch style while keeping the traditional Chinese element. The hospitality is second to none with personalization and caring as if you are at a 5 star resort. Everything is new, fresh and clean. The library is a comfortable place to relax with a book, looking out into the garden and watching the koi fish. It rained over night and the pitter patter seemed to be a design to help slept to the sound. The only recommendation I would make is to have the path way to the hotel more lighted as it is dark when returning to the hotel. They even reserved our charter to Lijiang and cared for us at dinner. Can't wait to come back. Thank You!
