Mercure Hotel Dalian-Friendship Square

The location is fantastic, with a huge variety of dining options nearby. It's an easy walk to Zhongshan Square, and the Friendly Square C2 subway exit is literally just a minute away on foot. The hotel staff are all incredibly friendly and eager to help resolve any issues. The hotel is really popular, with a constant flow of guests coming and going every day; the elevators are always packed, and there are lots of tourists from Russia, Korea, and Japan. The rooms aren't brand new, but they're spacious enough and very comfortable. For a city like Dalian, where hotel prices are generally high, this place offers excellent value for money!

While not the newest hotel, the room didn't have that old, musty smell, which made for a very comfortable stay. The room was spacious and clean, and the staff were friendly. The sink drained a little slowly, but it was acceptable, and I did report it to the hotel. Overall, I'm satisfied. As for the afternoon tea and late-night snacks, don't expect too much – they're just enough to fill you up.

As a guest staying for two nights, I returned to my room at 4 PM to find that not even the most basic cleaning had been done. I've stayed in countless hotels, including many Mercure properties, and this is the first time I've ever encountered something like this. I contacted the front desk, but it took a long time for anyone to come up and clean the room. It was truly a huge disappointment.

The service was absolutely fantastic! The room was spotless too. Manager Jiang at the front desk, a lovely lady, was exceptionally warm and attentive. She even provided a PDF guide to nearby restaurants, and any issues I had were resolved promptly. Five stars!

The hotel's location is convenient, the room was great, and the service was even better. Highly recommended for those traveling with seniors and children.

They upgraded our room upon arrival, giving us a fantastic room with a huge bathroom and a window. Weekend breakfast is until 11 AM, and on weekdays it's until 10 AM. We got the times mixed up and arrived after breakfast had finished. They were already cleaning up, but when they saw us, they enthusiastically brought out the food again, even though it delayed them from getting off work – I felt a bit bad about that. They even brought fruit to our room when they noticed we hadn't gone out. The staff are quite attentive.

Great location with easy access, excellent service, and clean rooms. It's an ideal hotel for travelers.

The hotel is conveniently located right next to a subway station, and there's a Lawson convenience store nearby. The breakfast was also good, with very fresh fruit. They have a laundry room and a gym on the 21st floor, which is really handy.

The room was spacious and very clean. The front desk staff were friendly and efficient, making check-in a breeze. Breakfast offered a wide variety of choices. Overall, a very comfortable stay and a great experience.
