From beginning to end, the staff was attentive to their every need to insure a special weekend was enjoyed by all. Save your money, this is really poor value for the price. Stood in line for nearly 15 minutes to check in— it appears there’s only one person handling all concierge, check in and guest relations duties. Rooms do not have coffeemakers or coffee. I was told they were taken out during the pandemic. But there aren’t any other complimentary alternatives and honestly I’m not really buying the hygiene explanation given that there aren’t any mask or distancing rules or other visible Covid safety measure being taken otherwise that I can see. Wi-Fi is also not complimentary which was not stated upfront so I was left scrambling trying to figure out how to get online right before a work video conference. The in-room phone was not functional; regardless of which button I pressed, I got a busy signal. So ended up having to look up the number on my phone— nothing else in the room provided contact info for the front desk— and being placed on a lengthy hold. When I expressed surprise about the charge for Wi-Fi the response was that this is common among luxury properties which felt dismissive and also not borne out by experience— I travel extensively at this class of hotel and at the very least they let you know in advance what the Wi-Fi situation is. Really disappointed with this experience.

I really enjoyed my time here. I booked this stay to have some alone time with myself since I am always so busy. The Director, Sony (spellcheck), was so helpful and accommodating. He’s the best of the best. I will be returning! The place is STUNNING!. The bed is most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. The breakfast was awesome too!

We visited the Westin Downtown Dallas for a conference at the Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center. It was a very short walk and surrounded by cute restaurants and bars. We even had a colleague forget her phone in Arlington and the valet (Melvin) went all the way there to get it for her! The hotel is clean and beautiful but I would stay here ten times over the staff and the hospitality.

Pretty sad to write this review. This room was filthy. Feet turned black. Curtains falling down. Toilet broken. I stay in hotels 15 nights per month and have a high tolerance for dirt, but this room was pathetic. Manager Louis said he would see curtains were repaired. Never repaired. He said they were short staffed. My thought is close off the rooms you can’t manage then. Had to request twice toilet be repaired. Returned that evening to find a note on toilet that said not repairable. Learned parts not available for toilet due to a art vender not being available according to front desk (run over to Home Depot!) Was offered another room but that was not an option for us due to small children and late. They didn’t bother to pick up phone and give us an earlier notice. We would have just gone home. Discussed with Louis, several days later) as no manager with any authority works weekends and he told me I shouldn’t have called the diamond desk to complain as he couldn’t do anything now but give some points. That was false, he refunded one of two nights. I’m preparing my letter to parent company, Texas Western, as they probably don’t see these reviews. This hotel has no business being part of the Hilton brand.

This hotel is no different from a five-star hotel. The environment, services and facilities are all in place. It just lacks the same catering as a five-star hotel. Adjacent to the tallest tower, it is very convenient for viewing. Both the interior and exterior design of the building are remarkable. However, the nearby roads are a bit confusing, and driving is easy to make mistakes.

When you walk into the lobby it is welcoming, modern and clean. Unfortunately none of those feelings go any further into the hotel than that. The rooms were a bit grubby and everything was worn - the cupboard the fridge was in didn’t close properly, the air conditioning was really loud, the bedding was worn (and no longer white), the towels threadbare and the shower badly repaired (I have posted a photo of this and the towels). When we used the shower the mirror misted up and you could see what a previous resident had written on the mirror (I have posted a picture of this) - suggesting no one is cleaning the mirrors, and if they are skipping them then what else are they skipping? As for the on site restaurant, what can I say? Do not eat here. When we tried to there was a big crowd at the bar, making a lot of noise, and we were seated in the small bar area. Despite having three couples dining they seated us all in the small, crowded bar area and didn’t open the restaurant seating. The menu is very small, not many options at all, and the drinks menu shows about a tenth of the drinks they actually have. Our waitress seemed confused easily, my wife asked if they had Sierra Mist to drink and received a blank look and a puzzled ‘Mist?’ as an answer. When our food arrived my wife’s salad had some unidentified black bits in it and I found a twisted ribbon of metal in between a slice of lukewarm sausage and the soggy fries. We called the waitress over to receive more blank looks to our complaints, no apologies or suggestions of alternatives. In the end we just got up and left, saying we weren’t going to pay for a meal that we hadn’t eaten because we didn’t fancy a trip to hospital. So, dangerous food, poor service and an unpleasant environment - do yourselves a favour and do what we did, go out and eat the great Mexican food at Uno Mas around the corner.
