Attendant was asleep when I arrived with a sign saying they were helping another customer and would be right back. This property is not being maintained and is very dirty. Paper by the front desk showed a long list of rooms that are out of service. When I got up to the room I pulled back the covers and a beetle was crawling on the sheets. There was also some dark fine dust on the sheets under the covers.

Extremely Disappointed. Arrived at night and there was no lighting on the outside of the building or parking lot. Entered what was a spacious lobby but the night clerk was away so we waited. He assigned a room and told us that the AC was not working in guest rooms. It did work in the common areas. Another employee told us that the system had been out for days but the owners have done nothing. The stay was on a Saturday night (6/21/25) and the temperature that day was in the 90's. We asked for a room that had windows that could be opened. There was no air movement in the room; no fans available. Actually considered sleeping in the lobby. We opened the windows to find shredded curtains and a very loose window screen clearly in disrepair. The room was a 2 room suite with a bedroom and a living room/office. There was no desk chair for the office desk. Very few electrical outlets and the previous guest had unplugged the side table lamp by the bed as well as the alarm clock. Evidently, housekeeping did not take the time to deal with this. This is a location with great potential but apparently mis-managed and not given necessary repairs. I deserve a full refund. I checked when I arrived home and found travel web sites that charged less for the room.

As I came in early in the morning to check in and ask the front desk clerk not only was he at the front desk the person was unhelpful he was sleep and had his shoes off like he was at home when asked a question the person went back to sleep and I walked away from the desk. The only time the person moved when it was close to leaving the desk this is not how you run a hotel thank God that I took my business to Ethan Allen where the people are twice as nice.

Maron Hotel is run by scammers and thieves. The hotel is so rundown that the entire HVAC, AC, water, and ice stopped working while I stayed. They refused to rectify it in any way. They just stole money from my account. I will see them in Civil Court

When we arrived at the hotel we were informed that the boiler broke and there wasnt any hot water. There was no time to find another hotel, so we mistakenly stayed there. We received $20 off the price. Elevators worked intermittently. Near one of the doors there were shopping carts filled with trash. The whole room was filled with allergens couch and carpet. Woke up with red itchy eyes, had to use inhaler during the night. When we checked out I left an item worth around $200. I immediately called and the front desk told me they had it and would hold it. Went to pick it up, and it went "missing".

I had booked a stay at the Marin hotel for Saturday April 26-28. After a 12 hour travel day we checked in and went to the room to shower and change, the water in the shower was cold, I picked up the phone to call the desk and the phone in the room wasn’t working. I dressed and went to the desk, he came to check the water then told me to give it 1/2 hour, I did and there was then hot water. Today, same thing happened, no hot water, told the guy behind the desk, he came and checked, said he would check the boiler. No hot water came at all. I washed in cold water, went to the desk on my way in and let him know, he was aggressive and argumentative, not at all apologetic and as a woman I felt threatened by his raised voice. I had not raised by voice at him, just explained my Frustration. Not a good person to have in a position of customer service. No sympathy for the situation we were in, just a life sucks attitude, I was not at all happy with my stay here and will be writing a review to that extent.

I make trips to Danbury 3-4 times a year as part of an event I organize and host in the area that brings 100's of out-of-towners to Danbury. Since 2004 I have stayed in at least a dozen of the different Danbury area hotels at least once. I have been recommending the Maron as a primary option to my mailing list since 2009 when I first started staying at hotels in the area, and renewed this suggestion for Maron as our "primary" option since I relaunched my events in 2022. As of March 2025 I'm giving The Maron an indefinite time out after my most recent experience - which resulted in a stressful, chaotic interaction on-site and my having to pivot on the fly to scrabble for alternate accommodations. Unbeknownst to dozens of guests who thought they had iron-clad reservations on the weekend of March 7-9, the Maron was sold to another company (I believe Marriott) in Feb-March 2025. Due to the sudden change in ownership/management, the new owners of the Maron 1) decided to do room renovations to over 2/3 of their existing rooms on site while staying open. They also 2) said that reservations made with the former owners/management were not compatible with their new computer reservation systems. That meant 3) the Maron was overbooked by an unknown amount of reservations - possible in the double digits - and what's worse 4) they didn't inform anyone who had existing Maron reservations in advance that the hotel was double/triple-booked and that they couldn't guarantee rooms to anyone, whether they had an old or new reservation or not. I walked in at 3:30pm for check-in and there was a crowd of over a dozen potential guests all being told this crucial, urgent info for the first time - in the Maron lobby and not by email, or phone. I asked one of the staff, point blank, "so this means that a reservation I made three months ago that was confirmed does not guarantee me a room at your hotel tonight?" The staff member shrugged and said yes. I referred to what was happening as a disaster (I believe the term I used was "sh*t show,") and the staff member had the pique to tell me that, actually, it wasn't a disaster, and that he would be unhappy to see me seek accommodations elsewhere. He spoke to me as if I had a guaranteed room at the Maron waiting for me (I didn't, according to him!). I rebooked with another hotel on the spot, and several other guests did the same. Other people I knew that stuck with the Maron that weekend told me that they booked them into not-yet-finished rooms. And that the staff on site didn't actually know which rooms were still in progress and which weren't. So they were walking guests upstairs to their rooms, telling them they could look at the room first and then decide if they wanted to stay in it. This meant the staff asked the guests to do a room inspection on their own and check that the heat was working, that there was electricity (lights, televisions); that there was a working phone in the room; that there was hot running wat

I booked a king suite. When I checked in, I received my key and entered the suite. It had not had not been cleaned yet, at 6:30pm! The front desk staff assigned me to another room, which was a downgraded inside room with no windows. The room itself is outdated, no USB ports to be found, and even the phone was unplugged. I needed the WiFi password, so I figured out how to get the phone connected and called the front desk. The desk agent wouldn't give the password to me. He just told me, it's on the envelope with your key. I explained that I had switched rooms and didn't have the envelope, and he still wouldn't give me the password. At check-in there was no mention of the breakfast, so I'm not hopeful that this hotel will provide that. My 2nd time staying here, for events at WestConn, and I'm happy that my WestConn student is a senior and I won't be tempted to stay here again. Spend the extra money and up go to the Ethan Allen instead.

They say there's a breakfast but it's just bread, the "fitness center" has no free weights and. Treadmill that won't turn on. The tvs are pixelated on every channel. Don't stay here , I'd never come back. Oh yeah the beds are hard too, unless you enjoy that
