Muhua Private Hot Spring Hotel (Daocheng Yading Scenic Area Branch)

Extremely satisfied! We were upgraded to a room with a terrace and a hot spring bath. Soaking in the outdoor hot spring at night, gazing at the starry sky, created a truly unique and serene atmosphere. The hotel is located by the river, and the sound of the rushing water lulled me to sleep, which was very calming.

I don't usually review hotels, having stayed in both good and bad ones, but I simply *must* give this place a rave review. The service was impeccable and incredibly thoughtful. Everything we requested or items we left behind were promptly taken care of. The room was super comfortable, with distinct areas for lounging and sleeping. They even provided a welcome gift and a 'sleep well' kit with several steam eye masks – an absolute lifesaver for us after a long road trip! We slept wonderfully both nights. On our last day, we asked the staff to draw a bath for us in advance, so we could just hop in as soon as we got back to the room. The cleanliness was excellent, and the toiletries were the best I've encountered on my travels in western Sichuan. (My only minor complaint is that the hotpot place they recommended near the entrance wasn't great, lol). The yellow 'ba' (sticky rice cake) at breakfast was delicious; I ate eight of them on the day we checked out!

Excellent service, prime location, and spotless rooms! The hotel arranged our transfers to Daocheng Yading and thoughtfully provided tips to prevent altitude sickness. It's truly the best accommodation option for visiting Yading.

For a guesthouse, the service is very professional, and breakfast is thoughtfully prepared. The room is practical, and after two long/short hikes in Yading, it was a good place to rest. It's backed by a river, so honestly, the soundproofing isn't great, but if you can live with that, there are no other complaints.

The hotel is located by a stream, so you need to close the windows, otherwise the sound of the flowing water can be a bit noisy. The room was quite comfortable, and it was nice to sit on the balcony or take a bath. It's relatively close to the Daocheng Yading Scenic Area, but the breakfast was rather simple.

When we arrived, the receptionist wasn't there. We waited for about ten minutes before she came down. Another woman with long hair was also present and showed no basic courtesy whatsoever. Initially, there were bugs in the first room, so they changed my room. Then, we accidentally put the private hot spring lid on backwards, implying we did it on purpose. It's hard to describe. The room cost nearly 500 yuan a night, and we wanted to upgrade, but they said they couldn't because we were already checked in. We stayed in the room for less than twenty minutes, and they said they couldn't change it because they hadn't registered our IDs. Then they said they wanted to cancel and rebook, implying they would charge extra. I said no matter how much they charged, it wouldn't work. So I went to find the manager, and that was the end of it. Her tone was curt, as if we owed her something. Half an hour passed without any apology or solution. We paid the price but didn't receive basic service. It's hard to describe. There was blood or something else on the sheets, and some black stains too. Ten minutes passed and it still wasn't resolved. It was 1 or 2 AM, so we didn't sleep and just waited. Then they said we had been canceling and rebooking all day, implying we were being difficult. The room signal was bad, we had to use the internet, which was terrible. I really can't give this a good review. We weren't going to change rooms or take a bath; we just wanted to get some sleep. But then there was this on the sheets again. Did we really have to cut ourselves and get some blood? Then, after a long time, they told us we could change rooms. I really don't know if this good review is fake or what. When I called them, the two front desk staff were whispering amongst themselves. When they tried to resolve the issue, they blamed us for stuffing the private hot tub in the room. Seriously? Did we do that on purpose? They didn't even tell us how it was supposed to be used. Were they unwilling to change rooms because we booked an upgraded room at a cheaper price, but then they agreed to change the sheets because of the blood? Seriously?

Choosing this hotel in Daocheng Yading was such a great value! Everything was incredibly thoughtful. When it rained, the staff came over with umbrellas from afar to pick us up, and they were there immediately if we called in the evening. The room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was beautifully presented in small portions, tasted good, and there was no waste – they really put a lot of thought into it. The driver who took us to and from the scenic area was honest and reliable, and the hotel staff were attentive and welcoming. When we left, everyone reminded us to drive slowly and safely – their genuine care made all the fatigue from the long drive to the plateau disappear. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Daocheng. Thank you so much! You made us travelers feel at home!

This little hotel truly exceeded my expectations! The environment was better than anticipated, clean and with separate wet and dry areas, and best of all, the underfloor heating was fantastic. The shuttle service was incredibly thoughtful, punctual, and hassle-free, making our trip completely worry-free. The hotel staff were extremely welcoming and almost always ready to help, whether it was picking us up from the scenic area or taking us to the station at 6 am, making our trip incredibly convenient. We are very grateful; it's excellent value for money, and I'll definitely choose this hotel again next autumn when I visit Daocheng. I highly recommend it to everyone.
