Taj Chia Kutir Resort & Spa Darjeeling

Fantastic! We were looking for a weekend getaway but the property was far beyond our expectations! A beautiful resort with great staff who took care of us from airport onwards. The hotel is only an hour away from Bagdogra airport. The mountain view rooms probide a beautiful view. SPA facilities are superb. Breakfast and high tea are really great. However, a little more variety in dining menu will elevate this hotel to 7 star status.

We were very pleased to spend 4 nights at the resort. We wanted peace, quietude, relaxation and comfort, all of which we received in abundance. All our food preferences were ably addressed and take care of by Chef Pankaj N, ***agers and Staff Prerna, Dipti, Suveena, and all others, whose names I miss. Swimming pool attendants were also very helpful and alert. Front desk Milu was ever helpful. J wellness Pui gave an excellent relaxing massage. Overall memorable and unforgettable experience.

The location of the property is very good if you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing holiday. Far from the crowd and in the midst of tea gardens. Lokesh made our check in smooth. We had an enjoyable time at Chia Kutir. We were given a room on the upper floor with an excellent view of the valley and sunrise. Anil the Front Office ***ager was delightful company and provided us with lots of insight on local issues.

We were 4 couples who stayed at your property. A very well maintained property, amidst natural tranquil surroundings. Very well ***nered and helpful staff. All amenities were available. All in all, a wonderful holiday, thanks to the team.

EVERY EXPIRENCE N THE ROOM WERE UP TO THE MARK .TAJ HOSPITALIY WAS SEEN ALL THROUGHOUT MY STAY.I ENJOYED THE MEALS ROOM CLEANINESS SPA TREATMENT LIVE MUSIC AT THE BAR HI TEA PLACE VIEW FROM ROOM OF VALLEY COURTEOUS STAFF AND REALLY HELPFUL AND POLITE.

It was great experience to be amonsgt the Makaibari Tea Estate in a Luxarious and Comfortable Infrastructure. The Tea testing Session with great insights of Tea ***ufacturing was an unique Experience. Lot of well thought of activities were there to keep the guests engaged like Yoga,Trekking,visit to the Tea factory etc. The staff were very promt and helpful to attend any requirements and queries. Special Mention of the Security personell for their making the area safe and ever helpfull nature .

We stayed at the Taj Chia Kutir in March 2024 during a family trip. The resort is about 1 hour and 30 minutes from the nearest airport, Bagdogra. The resort arranged transport for us, which was in good comfortable clean cars, and with professional and well behaved drivers. We were happy with the picturesque surroundings, and views. The rooms are well done up, and comfortable. Service was very good, with a warm welcome during the check in, as well as great service during the entire stay. We also made use of the swimming pool, which was nice, and the activity room which was nice. The food at both restaurants is nice, and with good service. Be sure to attend the tea tasting session held everyday at 3 PM, which is quite interesting. We also did a day trip to Darjeeling, which was nice.

We had an awesome family time at Taj Chia Kutir. Other than the fascinating views and beautifully maintained property, what stands out is the willingness to help and serve from the entire staff. Kudos to Mr. Anil Gautam for all the efforts in making our trip a successful one. We got fantastic help from the ground team in detailed itinerary planning as well. The food was lip smacking on all occasions, and the team ***ages multiple cuisines seamlessly, including local delicacies. A huge shout out and applause for ***ju, Bhaskar, Raghav, Mila, Khushi, Prerna, Soushav within the front desk and restaurant team. Also applause for our drivers Sujit & Mukesh, as well as Security staff Mr. Shewang & Wang for their courteous help. Thanks to Mr. Ashutosh for facilitating the swimming pool trips. If you are visiting Darjeeling, I cannot think of a better property than Taj Chia Kutir.

Visited Taj Chia Kutir around late Feb and it live up to the expectation totally. Located near Makai Bari tea estate rather just beside the same making it a ideal place to stay to explore the heritage tea garden and factory. IF directly coming form Bagdogra or NJP then there are several routes but from Kurseong it is bit far off and one need to arrange for travel by local cabs. The hotels offers beautiful view of the valley in front and if lucky enough then on a clear day watching Kangchenjunga from the balcony will be a life time experience. Any room including and above Luxury Room Valley view will offer the same experience. There is another category of room that offers view towards the tea plantation which I found is below average as a view and hence they are offered on lower price. Overall the Room was lavish and spacious enough to unwind. The Property also offers an indoor swimming pool. The Breakfast place is really big enough and as per the name goes Chai Veran*** it also comes with Balcony offering great view. breakfast offering was good enough but I expected it could have more variety compared to other luxury 5 star properties. Evening high tea which was complimentary but could have had better offering. However unlike other hotels they have amazing varieties of tea on offer for guests. The best thing was the Tea testing experience offered within the hotel where Tea experts from Makai Bari tea estate explains the history and details of tea making and they offer you to taste various types of teas(Which are also available for sale incase anyone wants to buy). I found that to be cherry on the cake. The staffs are cordial and overall the stay was pleasant and it lived up to the expectation.
