Stayed for a few nights with my husband and dog. We received an email a few days before giving us a more suitable postcode for the hotel and it worked a treat. Great location - easy to get to A1(M) and A66. It's half an hour away from the beach at Redcar. We stayed during the heatwave and we absolutely baked, as you do in every other Travelodge. There was a fan but it just wafted hot air at us. We had two plastic key cards but one of them never worked, even after it had been reprogrammed. There's a Morrisons and a brick train sculpture within walking distance. Toby Carvery next door is very handy.

After being let down by a booking error at another hotel, at midnight, I gave this place a call to see if they could fit me in. Staff were very welcoming and friendly, amazing customer service, were not remotely bothered about me staying an extra night before payment from my work had processsed and made me feel very welcome throughout my stay. Room was spotless, relatively quiet for a hotel next to a main road, well ventilated, had a plug next to the bed. Comfortable enough for a chronic insomniac to get something approaching a few decent night’s sleep. Okay, the place doesn’t look fancy, but for it’s price point that is not a big deal. Great value for money, very welcoming. Will be staying again next time I’m working up this way. Only negative is that the lift is broken.

Fantastic place!! We stayed for 1 night, wish it had been 2. We chose a standard double then chose to upgrade for only an extra £10. It was a good move. Our room was spotlessly clean, comfortable and had complimentary supplies. The hotel itself beautiful, staff very friendly. The spa facilities are gorgeous. Luckily we had the pool and jacuzzi to ourselves for a little while. The restaurant is delightful. The decor tasteful. The food was good as was the breakfast the next morning. Yep, we will definitely be going back. It was faultless.
