The hotel environment is fantastic, and the front desk staff are very welcoming. The breakfast is rich and varied, and there's underground parking available. The lobby on the first floor offers a variety of teas and drinks. The location is great, very close to the ancient city, making it perfect for tourists and those traveling by car. I highly recommend staying here!

The hotel's location is excellent, making it easy to explore the old town and nearby attractions on foot. They provide guests with a shared fridge, freezer, microwave, and self-service tea. Every staff member, from the front desk to housekeeping and restaurant staff, consistently greeted guests warmly whenever and wherever they met. Before our stay, they proactively called to ask about any special requests. Upon arrival, the security guard promptly helped with our luggage and even gave us directions to nearby restaurants. Kudos to all the hotel staff!

I've been so busy since returning on Monday, but finally have some time to write a review. I stayed here for 4 nights, and overall, it was a fantastic experience! As soon as I arrived, the lovely lady at the front desk arranged a room with a view for us. As pictured, it's even more beautiful at night, but my phone isn't great for night shots. The cleaning staff on the 13th floor was also very enthusiastic, cleaning promptly and thoroughly, and carefully asking about our specific needs. A particularly great touch is that the hotel provides a variety of hot drinks and teas for guests to help themselves – it's incredibly thoughtful! Highly recommend! The only minor drawback was the long wait for the elevators between 7:30-8:00 AM due to tour groups going up and down.

Meijing Heyang Hotel is conveniently located right next to Datong Ancient City, just a 6-7 minute walk away. The hotel's facilities are comprehensive and clean, and the rooms are quiet, exactly as described. The staff, from the front desk receptionists and restaurant servers to the housekeeping team, are all friendly and provide excellent service. The lady at the front desk even gave us a free room upgrade, and their recommendations for local food were truly outstanding. Meijing Heyang Hotel offers great value for money and is highly recommended!

The room was well-equipped, quiet, and clean, and the service was excellent. The front desk even called us in advance to confirm our requests and arrival time. There are complimentary tea and snacks in the lobby. It's less than a 5-minute drive from the ancient city, so transportation is very convenient.

You can see the ancient city wall right outside the window. The entire staff, from the front desk manager to the restaurant staff and cleaning aunties, were all well-trained. Any small issues were resolved quickly. Just around the corner and down one street, there are plenty of food options. Our whole family was very satisfied.

I chose this hotel for a holiday trip. The price was very high due to the festive season, which is understandable. The hotel's facilities aren't great, but the service is excellent, making it worth recommending.

Large room plus super large TV ( although only china channels ). Beds were clean but mattress a bit springy. The staffs were very friendly and the free breakfast provides enough foods for basically Chinese guests . For foreigners esp muslims guest would be challenging. Location is centrally near all amenities. Good price for stay - recommended.

This was the third hotel I stayed at on my first trip to Shanxi, and also the most expensive one, but it didn't meet my expectations. Facilities: Very 'retro,' as if built in the 80s or 90s. For the second-largest city in Shanxi and at this price point, I personally don't think it offers good value for money. For example, there isn't even a clothesline, which is common in most hotels, and the laundry sink is too small. Cleanliness: Acceptable. Environment: Acceptable. It's next to an elevated highway, so the distant view is nice. However, the rooms are so close together that you can hear people coughing next door and horns honking downstairs. Service: Overall, the service was very good, and the staff were all friendly and smiling. However, when it comes to laundry, I've experienced hotel staff in Taiyuan providing in-room laundry pick-up and delivery, which isn't offered here. This stark contrast was a bit uncomfortable.

A lovely hotel close to the old wall and not far from Datong’s must see historic attractions. The hotel staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfasts are great and there is also an optional evening buffet which is good value. There is a self service laundry which the staff help you with. Rooms are nice and clean and the hotel is nice and quiet. Highly recommend
