Very good location, at a walking distance from Old town, we felt super safe and comfortable here! Staff: definitely the top reason to stay here, they made our stay unforgettable and went the extra mile to help us out organize our excursions, thanks for everything! Room: superb, clean, spacious, good bed, great! Top Breakfast. The picture was taken from the dining room, so those are the views from some rooms.

I was impressed with the hospitality of the staff. They did not speak English, but got out of their way to help me. And they did arrange the taxi service to take me to those places I wanted to visit. Thank you.

We had a truly amazing stay at Meijing Hotel! The rooms was super clean and welcoming, with a lot of free drinks and gadgets included in the service. The staff was very helpful and friendly! We felt like home. We had an amazing time and would totally recommend!!!

Very nice and helpful front desk. I had some questions on the 旅游直通车 from 大同古城 to 悬空寺. She called their customer service and helped me to clarify the details. Really appreciate her help.

If you're only in Datong for a short time then location matters. The hotel tries hard with free canned drinks, welcome dessert and friendly staff but there are no shops next to the hotel at all although you can walk to a local neighbourhood about 700-800m away. The old city wall is not exactly near even if you can see parts of it from your hotel window. There is no subway in Datong so if you're interested in attractions in the old town then you need to factor in taxi costs unless you fancy a bit of a walk in the bitter cold. Breakfast is very local and very substantial.

Very good experience with hotel. Room was comfortable and the bathroom design is good. Reception staff was very helpful and provided good advice of Datong's tourist attractions. Hotel provided refreshment in the evening which was an excellent way to differentiate itself from the competition. Tried their chicken during early lunch and it was really tasty. Also, the staff kindly allowed me to play their Yamaha piano at the lobby. I would recommend this hotel to people visiting Datong.

Best hotel in our 20 days in China. The room is nice and clean and location is quite near the City walls. But the best was the attitude of the staff: smily, friendly and kind. Thank you for everything!

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights while exploring Datong and surrounding attractions. The location was perfect for us - nestled between both major train stations, a short walk to the old city, and conveniently very close to the bus station to the Hanging Monastry. The staff were very polite and helpful, some could speak some English. We were given various complimentary gifts and desserts during our stay. We loved the free tea (of various varieties) in the lobby! The room was a little old but clean, comfortable and quiet. I guess the only complaint is the elevator - they only have two but about 14 floors and it was utter chaos trying to move about in the morning when everyone wants to check out. Small issue though.

Our room smelled terribly of cold and old cigarette smoke. After complaining to the staff at the reception, another room was supposedly not available even though we were willing to pay for an upgrade due to the awful smell. We were then given a room spray which helped. The location however is great and the breakfast was ok.

The servixe staffs at the hotel is very helpful in attending to our queries. It provides laundry services which make it very convenient. The only setback is that there is only 2 lifts so if you are staying in high floor, will need to wait for longer time to take the lift.

The staff is friendly and helpful. It’s very thoughtful of them providing chinese healthy desserts everyday.

Reasonable price. Taxi is the best way to get around. Front desk staff is very friendly and helpful.

Datong is amazing but the hotel is better. Liu Hong Juan and Liu Jinquin are very nice working and helping with all our needs. Good breakfast, confortable room and helpfull staff. Excellent
