The guesthouse is very new & cosy and staff are extremely friendly, especially 张姐.
They not only provided free pickup from railway station when we arrived from Beijing, they also send/fetch us to places within the ancient city.
The breakfast provided were very yummy and 张姐 also served us cut fruits and 花茶.
Their services are excellent and I highly recommend this guesthouse if anyone plan to visit Datong.

Great choice for a hotel, quiet lovely neighborhood, very clean, super friendly staff, fluid communication and great breakfast.

The entire experience is really fantastic. For foreigners coming to China, I would recommend stopping by Datong and staying in this guesthouse. The owner is extremely friendly, providing pick up and drop off service for my family with elderly parents. There is no need to worry about the language barrier as she does her best to make the experience as comfortably as she can. She also sent us to a nearby famous hotpot restaurant. Rose tea and fruits are served every night and her 刀削面 for breakfast is the best I had of all the noodles I ate in China. It’s a very homely feel and I would want to go back again. The bed is very comfortable, with Dyson hair dryer and warm water works well. There is a bidet and elevator in the guesthouse. Wonderful experience and ps: this is not a paid review 😆

Amazing and really clean hotel. Everything was new and really nicely decorated. It is a bit hidden so I recommend contacting the staff before hand. The service was phenomenal. Both the boss and her employee were super nice and accommodating. They had really good recommendations and they even drove us to places. Breakfast was excellent as well. Really tasty and great choices. When we came back after being in the cold, they even brought us special rose tea to get warm again.

Room is clean, good. The service is very amazing. Snack in room those are very delicious. They give us night tea every night of our stay and its very good. And the fruit too. Will come back to stay here if come to Datong again. Thank you.

The Hotel was great! Its situated in a nice part of the old town and has a really nice design. They are really helpful and picked us up at the trainstation. The breakfast is a la carte and everything was really good.

The guest house was in a convenient location in the old town and the room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was good with lock foods. The service was amazing. We were picked up from the trains station and given a lot of advice and help in visiting locations outside of Datong.
民宿非常舒服干净，是一排很有山西特色的建筑。就在古城里面。管家小姐姐非常nice,来回都有接送，每天晚上给我们送来花茶水果零食，每天的早餐都吃得特别好。以后来大同一定再选择这里！

Amazing start to our Shanxi visit - despite freezing subzero weather, our hearts are warmed by our most welcoming and beautiful Ms Zhang, who single-handedly took on and resolved all our issues, always with a smile and utmost efficiency and diligence; from picking us up at the train station, making us warm fresh longjing tea and fresh fruits every night breakfast preparation, recommending a driver (Ms Guo) to maximise our time in Datong, recommending the best local restaurants (Fengling Restaurant is our favourite), assisting us with our laundry, taking us to the bank to exchange money. There’s nothing she cannot do! Most importantly she is so attentive to my elderly parents, especially my mum who has mobility issue- Ms Zhang drove us to and from the city and we are very thankful for her very warm hospitality. She went out of her way to make our stay so comfortable and on the last night, took us on a drive around the ancient city to absorb the night scenery. My mum thinks this is one of the best hotel she has stayed in. Comfortable bedding and beautifully designed and well-fitted out with Smart technologies. Most highly recommended!
