The facilities are quite good for a guesthouse. The loft-style room is very family-friendly, and all the staff we encountered were enthusiastic! After booking, they proactively contacted us to inquire about our arrival method, providing underground parking and directions for self-driving. Upon arrival, they actively helped with luggage, introduced attractions and food recommendations within the ancient city, and even made a short video for us. When they learned we would be leaving early the next day for Yungang Grottoes and wouldn't have time for breakfast, they specifically packed milk and bread for us in advance.

This guesthouse has a great location, making it convenient to visit attractions and restaurants in the ancient city, as well as the popular Southeast Quarter. The environment and service at the guesthouse are also excellent – it's both welcoming and comfortable. I'd definitely stay here again next time I'm in Datong!

Location: The hotel is situated within the ancient city walls, making it a short walk to major attractions like Huayan Temple and Gulou Street. Service: The service was excellent. We stayed two nights and met different staff members, but every single one greeted guests with a warm smile and a proactive, friendly hello, which was very pleasant. Additionally, the complimentary airport pick-up service was a delightful surprise. The vehicle was new, spacious, and comfortable, and most importantly, the driver's service was incredibly thoughtful and outstanding! Ambiance: The hotel is a traditional Datong siheyuan (quadrangle courtyard). Although not very large, it has a homey feel. Lounging on the deck chair outside the room, soaking up the sun, and sipping on the complimentary sea buckthorn juice from the hotel was incredibly relaxing 😌. Breakfast: The breakfast was very distinctive, featuring a variety of delicious Datong dishes carefully prepared by the hotel's aunties – truly tasty. Next time I visit Datong, I will definitely come back to stay here again. Looking forward to it! 🥰

Everyone here is incredibly kind and loving towards dogs. It's also very convenient to walk your dog nearby. The room was excellent, with high-quality decor and furnishings. The breakfast was incredibly thoughtful, featuring lamb offal noodles, knife-cut noodles, and many local Datong snacks, along with a variety of vegetables and whole grains. Everything was homemade by the owner, and I ate until I was stuffed every morning! Parking was easy with an underground garage. The location is great, right next to the Confucius Temple.

Our trip to Datong was made perfect by staying at Fengqi Heyuan, a B&B hotel. If you're like me and have high standards for hotel breakfasts, mattresses, pillows, bathrooms, and staff service, then don't hesitate – book your stay here with confidence! You'll absolutely be satisfied. I highly recommend it, especially for those driving and traveling with pets. Finally, a special thanks to all the vibrant young staff at the hotel for taking such great care of my family and our furry friend. Tucked away in a small alley, it's very quiet. The room's floor heating is ample and not too dry. Breakfast offers a good variety and is delicious.
