Rujia UP Huayi Selected Hotel

This is my first time writing a negative review. Everything about my trip to Datong was great, and the drivers were very friendly. My only complaint was that there were bugs on the first day at the hotel. One of them crawled onto my pillow while I was lying on the bed. I contacted Ctrip customer service and asked for compensation. I stayed for three nights, and they could have just waived the night I slept on that day, but Ctrip said the hotel refused to compensate. Also, the vendors below the hotel were constantly hawking their wares until 10 a.m. all three nights, which was very noisy.

This accommodation experience exceeded all expectations! From the moment we stepped through the door, we felt instantly at home, radiating warmth and comfort. The front desk staff was incredibly welcoming, and the check-in process was quick and friendly, making us feel instantly at home. The room was elegantly designed with soft colors and a well-planned layout, ensuring privacy yet maintaining a spacious and bright atmosphere. The bed was soft and comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The bathroom was especially impressive; it was spotlessly clean, and the toiletries were high-quality, with meticulous attention to detail. The breakfast was plentiful and varied, offering both traditional Chinese breakfasts and Western-style breads and coffee, catering to every taste. The restaurant's elegant ambiance and relaxed atmosphere set the stage for a great day. The hotel's location is also incredibly convenient, with a variety of restaurants, shopping centers, and attractions all within walking distance, making it incredibly convenient to get around. The beautiful surroundings also made for a captivating night view during an evening stroll, adding a touch of fun to the experience. The WiFi here is particularly noteworthy, a real boon for an internet addict like me. Whether I'm working or just binging TV shows, I can enjoy a smooth, uninterrupted internet experience. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay. The service, facilities, and location were impeccable. I'll definitely stay here again when I return to this city!

The room was small, and the facilities were average. It's understandable that rooms are expensive during peak tourist season. However, bugs crawled onto the bed and even onto my body during the night. It was disgusting. I told the front desk, and they blandly said there were just too many bugs, like in other nearby hotels. They said there were more bugs a while ago, but they're fewer now. Haha, I traveled all this way and spent all this money, only to have to endure this. Speechless.

Worst stay ever. 1. Upon entering the hotel, a fire inspector opened a faucet, and water flooded from the first floor, through the lobby, and down the steps. No one explained why, and when we asked, the hotel remained silent. At check-in, we were told to wait. We later guessed it was a fire inspection. 2. We booked a boutique king room, but after viewing it, we felt the street view was too noisy. We couldn't find a comparable room, so we had to move to a lower king room. The hotel told us the price difference wouldn't be refunded. 3. The hotel facilities were unsafe. The shower floor tiles were just regular, glossy, non-slip tiles, and there was no anti-slip mat. Even adults had to be very careful when showering. 4. Cleaning was inadequate, leaving a mess. 5. We only had two bottles of mineral water per day, and any more were charged. We only got angry and they gave us more. Private hotels are simply too stingy. Who drinks water so much? Three or four bottles per person per day is the limit. It's ridiculous that a hotel over 400 yuan can't afford water. It's under the Home Inn brand, but it's actually a private B&B. Other B&Bs are more generous. Next time you book a hotel, you need to keep your eyes open and look carefully.

This stay was a terrible experience, completely failing to meet my basic expectations for a hotel. First, the hotel's security was extremely disturbing! The room door had no peephole or mechanical lock, leaving me feeling unsafe and uneasy throughout my stay. Even more unacceptable was the knock on the door at 11 PM, claiming to be delivering toiletries! Disturbing a guest's sleep at such an hour showed a complete lack of consideration for their feelings and extremely poor service. They didn't inform me of this service at check-in, nor did they ask if I needed it. They simply woke me up in the middle of the night, knocking on my door. It was truly infuriating. Furthermore, the room's soundproofing was poor, and I could clearly hear noises from the hallway, severely disrupting my rest. As a hotel, their failure to provide basic privacy and security is truly disappointing. I hope the hotel can improve its management and service, otherwise it will be difficult to attract guests.

The hotel is well-equipped, clean, and has large, newly decorated rooms. Disposable towels are provided. Transportation is convenient. The hotel staff are warm and friendly. It is a very comfortable stay. Very satisfied

First, despite being newly opened, the facilities are old and large. The bathroom isn't completely separated into wet and dry areas, and shower water splashes onto the toilet. There's not even a toilet paper holder, so you have to put it on the toilet or by the sink. There's no place to put a towel in the bathroom, so you either have to bring a chair in or hang it by the back door. The door is at least three meters from the shower (there's no door between the shower and toilet sink, let alone a clothes hook). Second, the mattress and bed make noises whenever someone gets on them. The service is nonexistent, and the cleaning is poor. The front desk staff is arrogant and only the owner can speak nicely. Third, the location is awkward from the Old Town and Dongxin Plaza. The starting price is a 30-minute walk or two kilometers without a taxi. The nearest bus stop is also a 10-minute walk, not counting the Dongxin Plaza shopping area. Don't be fooled by the title. Overall, the price of over 300 yuan during holidays doesn't match the price. Avoid it. (The main entrance displays the Home Inn sign, but it says "for rent." You have to enter through the extremely small side door, Home Inn Huayi. It's reasonable to suspect it's not newly renovated, but just opened.)

The whole hotel is very depressing, with no ventilation, small rooms and a smell.
