Journeying down from the mountains, into the mountains, returning home on a winter night. **Amenities:** 💯 The aesthetic design of Jixia Mountain Hotel is truly impressive, with beautiful scenery at every turn. It perfectly blends the ancient charm of Datong and Shanxi, making it an absolute photographic gem. The hotel features a swimming pool, restaurant, and gym. The pool water is crystal clear, and the ceiling above the pool boasts artistic murals. 🎨 Breakfast offers both buffet and a la carte options. The knife-cut noodles were delicious, and the chef's skills were top-notch. The tableware was exquisite, and the coffee beans had a great flavor. **Toiletries:** 💯 The room was equipped with Guancha Fang toiletries. I think the shampoo and conditioner might be custom-made? I couldn't find them in their official store. However, the shampoo was excellent, unlike some hotels' current selections which often rely solely on brand power. This Guancha set from Jixia Mountain is fantastic! The body lotion was also very good, soothing the dryness that Datong's climate can cause. The loofah sponge was also great; it exfoliated without scratching my skin. They also provided an air-cushion brush, which was a pleasant surprise. Datong can be quite windy, making hair prone to tangles, so the air-cushion brush was a thoughtful touch. Towels and bedding were all very good. The kettle was a pour-over coffee kettle with a slender spout. Although I didn't use it, paired with the drip coffee in the room, it felt like a very thoughtful touch. **Hygiene:** No issues with hygiene at all. It's a new hotel, and everything is still impeccably maintained. I hope the hygiene standards remain this high for my next visit to Jixia Mountain in Datong. **Environment:** The hotel's environmental advantage lies in the excellent privacy it offers guests. Due to the meticulous architectural design, each room has a different orientation and space, making interactions between guests unlikely. It felt very quiet and comfortable. **Service:** Regarding service, I feel there might be room for further refinement in staff SOPs, such as introducing hotel facilities, guiding guest communication, and demonstrating enthusiasm. I actually really appreciate hotels that offer warm and enthusiastic service. I've stayed at Songtsam hotels before, and I was genuinely moved by the sincerity and warmth of their staff, which really added to the experience. The turndown service and evening sweet soup were also quite nice, giving a cozy feeling. However, when we returned to the hotel, we found the wardrobe door wasn't fully closed, which startled me. I later realized it was likely the hotel staff who forgot to close it properly after placing the turndown blanket. The blanket was also rather casually piled in the cabinet, which also startled me, making me wonder if someone had entered the room 😂 It would be better if it were neatly folded and placed in the cabinet. Additionally, I hope that upon check-in, more information can be provided. Due to the hotel's private layout, many facilities are not easily found, so some facility introductions for guests would be helpful. I suggest they could offer more cultural information. I discovered Jixia Mountain through their official account, and I was particularly interested in the architectural design and local culture they promoted, but there wasn't much of that information available at the hotel. I hope they can improve in this area. 😎 The staff all seemed a little nervous, haha, they could be more confident and self-assured~ **Summary:** Initially, I thought, 'Is that all there is to it?' But after a closer look, 'Yes, I'll be back!' One more thing to mention: I was upgraded to a better room this time, which made me very happy! 🥳

As a long-time fan of Ji Xia Shan, I've now checked off another of their hotels, this time in Datong. Overall, I'm quite satisfied. The hotel's architectural design beautifully integrates with the ancient city's characteristics. The core landscape draws inspiration from the distinctive Shanxi style, reminiscent of 'Raise the Red Lantern High,' combined with modern aesthetics. The grotto elements in the public areas and the pool murals blend in seamlessly. The only minor drawback was that the accumulated snow was dirty, so we missed out on a beautiful snowy scene. The soft furnishings in the bar on the second floor are very comfortable, and the view of the ancient city coupled with the eastward-facing sunrise is fantastic. Inside the rooms, things are more standard. They're a bit on the small side, but the courtyard is quite spacious, though it might not be very practical in winter. In terms of details, the Hansgrohe Axor series hardware is excellent and very functional. The co-branded toiletries with Guaxia have a slightly pungent scent. The bedding is good; I switched to a buckwheat pillow, and my sleep quality was decent. The dining is quite thoughtful, with a combination of à la carte and buffet options. The selection is small but refined. The breakfast service is also good, and the overall presentation is pleasing. Finally, regarding the soft power aspect: as a high-end brand focusing on integrating design with local landscapes, there's room for improvement here. It happened to be New Year's Day, but I didn't see any New Year-themed elements. The lighting at night is quite dim, which can be a bit intimidating; it needs more human touch and ambiance to fill the space, and unfortunately, this was somewhat lacking.

Jixia Mountain definitely lives up to its reputation, haha! I only found out upon check-in that it's by reservation only now; without one, you can't even get into the hotel. The service was absolutely satisfactory, from the moment we arrived until we left. Every "hello" and greeting felt genuine and thoughtful, and they paid great attention to detail. For example, we wanted to go out but weren't sure what to do and felt a bit cold. The staff proactively offered us hand warmers and hot water bottles. When we returned to the hotel, they warmly invited us for a cup of coffee. It was apricot-flavored, I think, a specialty here, and it tasted quite good. The entire courtyard is beautifully maintained. The tea room is fantastic for photos, with truly superb views. Listening to music, drinking tea, enjoying the scenery, playing games – it's truly delightful!

It started and ended with descending the mountain. The aroma wafted from the entrance, instantly creating a positive impression. The facilities are absolutely top-notch, and the amenities are of very high quality. Turndown service and snacks/fruits were provided every night upon return; I was thoroughly taken care of. Service Team: I believe guests choosing this resort hotel have high expectations. The management team is mature and decisive in handling issues. Breakfast and rooms are good, and the rooms are very clean. I took the time to try the fitness center, which was fantastic. It would be perfect if the shower lighting could be adjusted. The front desk team is relatively young and responsive, handling issues in a standard way, but they need to improve their smart talk skills, as they directly address various guest questions. Other: - Some rooms still had a noticeable smell of paint or renovation (I thought that after years of preparation, this wouldn't be a problem). For those sensitive to odors, it's recommended to communicate this before check-in; - Due to the relatively high price of the lobby bar, it's suggested that some self-service tea and snacks be provided in the public area to add a touch of resort-style social interaction; - The handheld iron in the wardrobe is convenient. The sofa and wooden coffee table next to the bed could perhaps be better arranged. Thanks to the resort hotel for adjusting the check-out time according to our needs, ensuring a worry-free trip. The Jixia Mountain Hotel is beautiful and has a great design. The staff are very welcoming, especially the young men and women at the front desk; their service was superb. I'll definitely stay here again. I wish the hotel continued success and a truly remarkable experience. Highly recommended! 👍
