Chunyue Homestay (Datong Ancient City)

Stayed here during the Chinese New Year. The location is convenient and the overall environment is clean and tidy. Highly recommended!

The hotel is quite new and not too far from the old town. The rooms are spacious, and the front desk staff are very polite. They also provide laundry and drying facilities. The only downside is that taxis are hard to find; you have to walk out to hail one. I would stay here again next time.

I don't usually leave reviews, but this place deserves a five-star rating. This guesthouse is exceptionally good; newly renovated, clean and hygienic, and the owner is very welcoming. It was a very comfortable stay during my trip to Datong. Highly recommended.

A perfect stay! The location is superb, convenient for walking to the ancient city or taking a taxi to the Yungang Grottoes. The room was clean and odor-free, the bedding was comfortable, and there was plenty of hot water. The front desk staff were friendly and even gave us sightseeing suggestions. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Datong!

The room was small and not very spacious. It's newly opened, and the environment was okay. The service was quite good. The main problem is that it's located in a residential complex, which makes it inconvenient to drive in and out. There's a very strict security guard at the entrance who won't listen to you if you honk. You have to get out of your car respectfully and speak politely to him before he opens the gate. Otherwise, he won't let you in, and he can be quite rude. Although this guard isn't from the hotel, he significantly hinders your movement and is very inconvenient.

I saw this hotel on Ctrip, and what attracted me was its price—it was very affordable. Secondly, it just opened in 2025, so I figured I had to check it out. The hotel's location was easy to find; just follow the navigation. I didn't take any photos of the hotel itself, so I'll use a few pictures of what I saw outside instead. A suggestion: When the cleaning staff comes to the room, please knock on the door first to see if anyone is home. Don't just swipe your key card to open the door and enter.
