This guesthouse boasts an excellent location in the East Street of Gulou (Drum Tower) in the ancient city. It's a tranquil oasis amidst the bustling downtown, with a rich historical background. It faces Guandi Temple directly, with Taiping Tower to its north, and a Fo Xiaoban specialty store just 10 meters to the east. Walking west leads you to Gulou (Drum Tower), and Huayan Temple is just 600 meters away. Along the way, you'll pass numerous popular restaurants like Zini 369, Longjuxiang, and Fenglingge. The ancient city's tourist shuttle bus station is also a convenient 20-minute walk away. The rooms have an antique charm and feature a wet/dry separation bathroom. The host provides warm and attentive butler service, even greeting guests at the door and helping with luggage. There's also a friendly cat in the courtyard you can pet. It's a pet-friendly establishment.

The location of this guesthouse is perfect! It's right inside the ancient city, and you can walk to Huayan Temple, Shanhua Temple, and the city walls very easily. In the evening, strolling through the old town, experiencing the local life, and then slowly walking back to the quiet courtyard – it's a peaceful oasis amidst the hustle and bustle, absolutely perfect!

This was our first time staying in a guesthouse in Datong Ancient City, and Yanzhenju was a huge, delightful surprise! The location is fantastic; you're right on Gulou East Street, making dining and shopping incredibly convenient. The courtyard is quaint and charming, truly capturing the essence of old Shanxi. The room was clean and tidy, with modern facilities, making for a comfortable stay. The owner was super enthusiastic and gave us great recommendations for sightseeing. Our child especially loved it and said they want to stay here again next time we visit Datong! Big, big thumbs up!

The hotel staff were very welcoming and friendly, and it offered great value for money (60 sqm with a bathtub). It was a perfect experience staying in a traditional Siheyuan-style building. The location is excellent – right outside are the Guandi Temple, Jinshangyun Dao Xiao Mian (knife-cut noodles), and Jiuzhe Baozi (steamed buns). Huayan Temple and Shanhua Temple are less than a 15-minute walk away, as is the scenic shuttle bus stop. The owner proactively recommended sightseeing routes and checked in about our stay. They are constantly improving their service based on guest feedback. Looking forward to staying again!

The three-courtyard design is very cozy. The owner is very welcoming, and we were free to pick and eat the plums from the fruit trees in the courtyard. Right outside is a small square where people dance, across from Guan Di Temple, a trendy arts district to the right, and all the West Street delicacies to the left. The location is excellent, though cars can't reach the entrance, so you have to walk a few steps.
