Datong Hotel

Located Just outside the ancient Town (about 15 minutes walk) Is a good Place to stay. Good staff, very Easy to reach with taxi and didi. Clean and quiet. Bed very soft and comfortable. Please Just note that the swimming pool Is used for childrens swimming classes and very crowded (swimming Is almost impossible)

This is a wonderful hotel to stay for a weekend. It’s location is very close to the Ancient Town and the City Centre. There are wonderful restaurants and coffee shops within a 500m radius. Some of the rooms are due for some restoration, but I would definitely recommend this hotel for a weekend trip. P.S. the bath tub is wonderful after a long trip!

Great position. We did’t have breakfast because we lived very early and staff said us they will prepare breakfast box for us, but we received nothing.

The staff were very helpful, and there was quite a lot of food served in the restaurant, though the restaurant is not near. I had to walk for more than a minute from the building I stayed in.

We spent four tonight's in Datong hotel, although this hotel's grandeur is somewhat jaded,we still felt we were staying somewhere special. Thoroughly enjoyed our balcony overlooking the gardens at the entrance. What impressed us most of all was the restaurant in the adjoining Grand Hotel. After a month, travelling in China,this was the most delicious and interesting food we encountered. It was so good we ate there each night and it gave us the opportunity to try a varied range of Chinese dishes. Datong was a really wonderful place to spend a few days, and I would highly recommend it.
