Excellent hotel, everything is perfect about this hotel. Excellent service from the reception and housekeeping staff. The room was excellent and extremely clean, very modern and big. Location-wise, it is excellent as it is only a 5-minute drive from Datong Railway Station. Breakfast was also amazing with a wide variety and high standard for a very reasonable price. Definitely will choose this hotel again if I am coming back to Datong.

A lovely hotel close to the old wall and not far from Datong’s must see historic attractions. The hotel staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfasts are great and there is also an optional evening buffet which is good value. There is a self service laundry which the staff help you with. Rooms are nice and clean and the hotel is nice and quiet. Highly recommend

The price is very high, the hot spring is not big but clean and hygienic, it has local bathing characteristics, the guests are basically regular customers, slow and comfortable. The back is also a major feature. It costs less than 100 yuan to enjoy an hour of squatting, pressing, pinching, and flushing. Basically, they are all done in a deep sleep. Unfortunately, there are too many people in the queue, and I can't wait for more than an hour. I can leave my hope to the next time.

The new Holiday Inn was truly amazing! The staff were all very professional and attentive. Special thanks to Manager Zhao Jie for arranging a room upgrade in advance and providing airport transfer service afterwards. The rooms were also very clean. The breakfast, including freshly made wontons, noodles, and fruit, was excellent. The Chinese restaurant was also reasonably priced and served both lunch and dinner. As for the hotel's location, it's in a local residential area with small and medium-sized supermarkets and plenty of barbecue restaurants nearby. It's about 3 kilometers from Datong Ancient City, making it easy to call a ride-hailing service.

A very satisfying trip. Environment: Quiet and comfortable, with a fountain and swings in front. Cleanliness: There are no hotels in the ancient city, only inns, which are not very clean. Hotels with children should be much cleaner and tidier. Service: Excellent. Seeing that I was traveling with two children, they upgraded me to a family room free of charge and even gave me breakfast coupons. The breakfast was also very varied. The hotel also thoughtfully provided a pick-up service from the station. Highly recommended!

A truly wonderful stay! I absolutely adored the traditional courtyard house. The owner's meticulous attention to detail was evident in the decor, with all the furniture crafted from genuine solid mahogany. The room amenities gave a very homely feel, featuring a solid wood bed, wardrobe, table and chairs, and a daybed. The toilet and shower were separate, and it even had a smart toilet. Everything was impeccably clean. Breakfast was fantastic! We received an incredibly warm welcome, making us feel like family.

Had a fantastic stay with really thoughtful service. My child accidentally left a bracelet behind, and they contacted us promptly. The room was clean and tidy, and the smart home system was very convenient to use. The TV quality was like being in a cinema, much better than a projector. When visiting Datong to explore its historical sites, choosing the right hotel can save you a lot of stress! This hotel is just over 2 kilometers from the ancient city wall, and a few minutes by taxi to Huayan Temple and the Nine Dragon Screen, making it very convenient for returning home after exploring the ancient city at night. The room's zero-pressure mattress is so soft and comfortable, it's an instant relief after a day of sightseeing. The smart home system is incredibly convenient, allowing you to control the curtains and lights with just your voice, eliminating the need to fumble for switches in the dark. For breakfast, you must try the local knife-cut noodles and goat offal. The ingredients are fresh and authentic, and the complimentary drinks make for a truly energizing start to the day. I'll definitely stay here again with my family next time!

Environment: I was originally going to stay at Hampton when I traveled to Datong, but Hampton was fully booked every day and I couldn't book it. Then I searched and carefully selected this Mercure. It is next to the shopping mall, and it is super convenient to eat and drink takeout. It is also very close to Fantawild Ancient City. The price is more practical than Hampton, and it is not a pitfall at all. The hardware and software facilities, service and breakfast are all very good. When checking in at the lobby, children can stamp the combination seal, which is very interesting and beautiful. Originally, I was going to stay for one day and go somewhere else the next day. Later, because I didn't leave at Fantawild too late, I extended it for another day. After returning, I took the initiative to upgrade the room. The breakfast is delicious. I eat with my children every morning and feel satisfied. I go out to play with full energy. I will stay at Mercure next time I come to Datong. I am so satisfied!
