Pura Vida Beach & Dive Resort

Overall, I liked the hotel; it had a very atmospheric atmosphere. The breakfasts were a bit disappointing, and one morning, we found a blood stain on the sheets that looked like a bedbug's. Since we slept under the covers, it's unlikely a mosquito was to blame; we should check the beds for any unauthorized guests. I'm afraid to bring it home. The pool is lovely. The grounds are green and well-maintained, the beach is clean, and the staff is friendly. A solid 4-star.

The breakfast buffet was more basic than other hotels I've stayed in, but that was fine. We could see coral, sea turtles, and various fish on the beach near the hotel.

It's a bit difficult to review this hotel. What made us most angry was that they charged us a child fee when we arrived at the hotel, so friends with children should pay attention, which is about 180 per night. Secondly, we found that they were renovating the new building, so it was relatively dirty and there was a bit of paint smell. The renovation was still going on at 8 pm on the first night. There was no phone in his room, so every time you needed service, it was very difficult, and you had to run to the front desk yourself... The room was generally clean on the second day of the hotel, but I thought her room was cleaned very well when we checked in on the first day. At first, we booked a cabin, which was very interesting. Although the room was small, I thought it was very unique. The breakfast was very unpalatable.

Beautiful, very well-maintained facility. Attentive and good staff, as well as reliable and tasty food. Prices at the higher end in comparison, even for the standard rooms. Direct booking was more expensive than on booking/Trip.com, which was a bit unusual. Comfortable beds, with the option to swap mattresses (hard/soft). I felt very comfortable and looked after.
