Pros: Very helpful staff, excellent breakfast, easy parking, good location, lucky to find any accommodation at all as it was the last room available on the island.
Cons: We apparently booked a "budget room" although we paid 300 Euros for 2 nights. Toilet and showers were across the corridor and not private. The room was terribly hot and noisy in the morning when early birds packed their cars.

The hotel is good value but a bit dated. The bathroom was cramped and the door does not close. There is a light above the wash basin but only works after pulling a cord. Not obvious. The light above the desk did not work. The heating was off when I came, but I could turn it on so it heated up after a while. The staff were friendly and the sitting/dining room is cosy. It is close to the town and easily reached by bus and about 10 min walk. They have bicycles for hire.

Hotel was the dirtiest and most unfriendliest i have ever encountered
you could write your name on the smoke laden walls of the rooms , the cupboard had a smell which could only be described as having something die and decomposed over months. front desk clerk was no help and the chef laziest in europe actually went to his bed at lunch time and unavailable until 4pm then would only cook for small amount of guests . i would definitely not booked this hotel if ********** had done their due diligence and gave true account

This hotel is very okay considering its service and food. The beds are comfortable and there is even a whirlpool bath tub. We staid in a nice room on the second floor with a french window. The room was dated though and not that clean. So don't expect world class quality! There is a parking for hotel guests.

Dacht voor gunstige prijs aantal kamers te boeken. Helaas is de werkelijkheid toch anders. Fantastisch dat er op eigen terrein (gratis) geparkeerd kan worden. Dit overnachtingsadres is op loopafstand van binnenstad Den Burg. Ontbijt is voortreffelijk. Daarbij houdt het wel op. Die dosis liefde die op de website staat is nog niet toegepast. Herinneringen van Fletcher overal nog zichtbaar. Het hotel is toch overgenomen. Hadden 3 kamers geboekt voor 2 nachten. 1 kamer na dag eerste dag niet schoon gemaakt. 's morgen bij receptie aangegeven. Ze hadden het druk! Verder geen excuses. Een update mag het zeker wel gebruiken. Een likje verf, nieuwe vloerbedekking, deuren die met geweld open gaan, warm water voorziening controleren enz.

Vriendelijke ontvangst aan de receptie- en zeer goede service en hulp bij de aanvraag van het Texel e-vignet.
De kamers zijn niet logisch ingedeeld met een kledingkast direct naast je bed. Kamers kunnen wel een likje verf op de muren gebruiken.
Iedere dag netjes schone handdoeken en keurig op gemaakte bedden. Bij het ontbijt zag er alles keurig netjes en verzorgt uit. Alles is ruim voldoende aanwezig. Met heerlijk brood van de lokale bakker.

Vermijdt dit hotel tenzij je echt geen andere opties hebt. Bij ons was dit het geval. Grootste probleem was de prijsverhouding. Eur 180,- per nacht in het weekend eind aug. Voor de helft was het wlicht acceptabel geweest. Hotel is ronduit sleets. Vergane glorie, zowel in de gangen, de trap als de kamer al decenialang niets aan gedaan. Tegeltjes in de badkamer zijn geschilderd maar dit is er deels weer af, douchekop haakje kapot, schimmel op de kitranden, verf van de kozijnen. Gewoonweg ouwe zooi. Ordinair Personerlslid met schorre rokkerstem die werkelijk geen enkele moeite deed om enige klantvriendelijkheid aan de dag te leggen. Wat wel goed was was het ontbijt en de ontbijtkamer, dat was redelijk verzorgd. Wij waren op het eiland voor business en begrepen van de locals dat dit hotel op het eiland idd een reputatie heeft en meestal nog wel een kamer heeft. Als je andere opties hebt, vermijd dan deze plek want het is zwaar misbruik maken van de krapte.
