Holiday Inn Express Hotels in Dengfeng

Marked down on service only because upon arrival we had problems entering the hotel because I'm a foreigner & the lady greeting us was not particularly helpful, however a phone call to the local authority by my Chinese girlfriend sorted things out. Room large, bed very comfortable, shower hot, all very clean. Breakfast is one of the best we've had in a Chinese hotel and these are the first three photos. I'm vegetarian and was delighted to see a wide range of freshly prepared and freshly cooked hot & cold vegetable dishes, all delicious. Our compliments to the kitchen staff who clearly know their business! The last two photos are from a local restaurant not far from hotel, can't remember the name but the entrance is very grand like the Tang gate in Luoyang, restaurant on third floor - superb Henan cuisine.

This was one of the best Hotel experiences I have ever had! Also, this was one of the best food experiences I have ever had. The accomodation is situated near the mountain landscape and the nights are quiet and peaceful. I have gotten a great rest from the big city here. The hotel runs a restaurant in the first floor, which is quiet famous in the local area (for a good reason it is!). The dishes were amongst the best I have eaten in the country! You will enter the hotel through a tea and wineshop with a wonderful a**osphere.. The couple that runs the hotel is very kind, helpful and joyful. They gifted me tea and fruits for my further traveling and made me feel welcome during my stay. If I am ever back in Dengfeng, I will know where to go! Thank you for the great stay! :)

All in all we are quite satisfied with our short stay. We haven't used any of the hotel amenities like swimming pool or restaurant, so it's impossible to comment upon them. However, we'd like to say thank you to the stuff that is available any time. It turned out that one faucet didn't work properly and we only found it out at around 11 p.m. We called service number and the problem was solved within 10 minutes. One more pleasant thing is the pillow menu) The beds are generally very comfortable (unlike in many other Chinese hotels), but you still can choose an orthopedic pillow to your liking. That was very nice! Location is good (around 15 min to the mountain park entrance and to the bus station). Unfortunately, we are not very happy with the view. (It was a mountain view room). Yes, we saw a pagoda and the mountains, but also the construction site right below our windows. Workes started their day at around 7 a.m., which was clearly heard in our room. In addition, there's some soft music constantly playing in the corridor. Definitely not for those who are sensitive to extra sounds.

The hotel is cost-effective and the stay is very satisfactory. We went out to play together and chose this place based on the good reviews. The service is very good, thoughtful and enthusiastic, the facilities are very complete, parking is free, the hotel environment is also good, the hygiene is clean and the room is comfortable. My friends are all very satisfied with the stay.

The waiter was so enthusiastic. He picked me up and dropped me off. I felt a little embarrassed. The room was nice. There was just a small flying insect at night. The room was also upgraded.

Accompanying friends to visit Shaolin Temple, we chose the best five-star hotel in Dengfeng. We stayed overnight and had quite a few feelings. Here are some suggestions: As a five-star hotel, it is unimaginable that we have to wait until November 15th every year when the city's central heating and air conditioning can provide hot air. It is late autumn now. The hotel is located at the foot of the mountain, and the temperature is a little lower than that in the city. The air conditioning was set to 29 degrees and I woke up in the middle of the night and found that it was always cold. When I checked out the next day, I mentioned this. The staff said that we have 24-hour service and can send electric heaters at any time by calling at any time. The key is that when I checked in, no one told me that there was no hot air from the air conditioning. The lobby manager sent us to Building B and said that if there was anything, we could call the 24-hour service at any time, but he did not mention that electric heaters could be sent. I woke up at night and didn't know that I could ask the hotel for electric heaters. Another thing is that the facilities are a bit old. There is not even a USB socket on the socket, and the small refrigerator is empty. It doesn't look like a five-star hotel. The hotel front desk is a distance away from Building B. It is far from the parking lot. It is too far to get something from the car, and it is even more inconvenient for the elderly. I suggested to the manager why not open a door on the B building side? The manager said that the hotel occupies too much land. I laughed: It is because of the large area and the long distance that a door should be opened in Building B and several parking spaces should be set up. These are not to find faults, but to give some sincere suggestions. Among so many temples in the country, Shaolin Temple is the most famous. People who travel all over the country and even the world have to come here to see and play. Therefore, hotels in Dengfeng also carry a sense of responsibility. They can't let guests feel that Shaolin Temple is just like that because of the bad accommodation. Huading should not be compared with its peers in Dengfeng, but should be compared with peers from the perspective of the whole province and even the whole country to see where the shortcomings are. As for the solution, it is actually very simple. Just live in someone else's place and you will know where the gap lies. Upgrade the hardware if necessary and revamp the software if necessary. It's just copying homework. It's not complicated.

Stayed for 2 nights. The rooms were clean, tidy and comfortable. I originally booked a king-size bed room with a balcony. The only drawback was that the signal tower in the middle of the balcony blocked part of the view of Songshan Mountain. I always felt uncomfortable. The second room was changed by the store and upgraded to a suite. The space was larger and the bed was bigger.

This place is very close to the entrance of the Taishi shan in the Song mountain area. The house is clean and is tastefully decorated. The owner is very helpful and a gracious host. He interacted with me well and showed his collection of antiques.He is a positive and energetic person. For hiking Taishi shan, this place is an ideal base. Shaolin temple is a bit away but one can easily access Shaolin temple by taxi. I stayed here for 2 nights and it was a wonderful experience. Please remember that this is a home-stay and not a hotel. This is an ideal place to explore Songshan mountain area. I highly recommend this place.

The concept is great. It's halfway up the mountain, right next to the music festival, and you can go and watch the show just a short stroll away. The duplex single room we stayed in was also very quiet and comfortable. Zero-pressure mattresses and pillows are particularly restful for a good night's sleep. The downside is that the restaurant is average. The buffet in the evening is 59/person, which is not expensive, but there is nothing to eat (except for the prawns). Then the vacation ended at nine o'clock and I couldn't get up at all. There is a battery car pick-up service and the attitude is very good
