Mainri Snow Mountain Hotel

This hotel is located in a prime spot, perfect for sightseeing and taking photos. The observation deck is right downstairs, incredibly close. The room decor is warm and stylish, and I particularly loved the color scheme. The bedding was clean and tidy, and the overall experience was seamless with great value for money. I highly recommend it! Especially if you're driving here, arriving amidst a low-lying mist was a unique experience – 'Mist-Covered Village' is truly fitting. The outdoor tables and chairs on the terrace offer direct views of the majestic mountain peaks. Whether you're sipping tea or coffee, chatting, or just watching the snow-capped peaks appear and disappear in the clouds, you can fully enjoy the moment as long as you have the time. The breakfast was plentiful, and the staff were incredibly enthusiastic. They effortlessly carried our luggage up and down the stairs, and I'm especially grateful for their help. A definite thumbs-up! 👍

The room was very clean and well-equipped. I recommend the rooms on the second floor, as they are spacious and have a great view. They even offered hot beverages, and the service was excellent. The dinner at the hotel was also good, and there's an observation deck right downstairs.

The hotel's service was excellent; all the staff were very friendly and helpful. They also offer a shuttle service to/from Deqin Bus Station or Deqin Tunnel Entrance. The hotel's location is perfect, with a fantastic and direct view.

Right in the heart of the misty peaks, what more could you ask for? The room was clean, the service was warm and welcoming, and we got to see the sunrise over Meili Snow Mountain—that was enough for us. We checked in on Chinese New Year's Eve and even received a red envelope on New Year's Day. The atmosphere was just perfect.

The hotel's location is excellent, right across from the Wunongding viewing platform for Meili Snow Mountain. You can directly view the snow-capped mountains from your bed on the balcony. If you're taking photos, a white pagoda in front might obstruct the view, so you'd need to go down to the viewing platform below. The hotel facilities are very comprehensive, including an oxygen concentrator and a humidifier. The decor style is both modern and incorporates ******* elements. During the Spring Festival, the hotel's dinner is a set menu, requiring reservations, costing around 270-280 RMB for three people. The dining area features a long table, which feels very ceremonial, and there are two fireplaces in the back that create a medieval ambiance when lit. We stayed here for two nights, and on the second evening, we ordered hotpot. The owner even gave us an extra platter of beef, and we also ordered a bottle of local ice wine, which tasted quite good. Breakfast is a set menu, with rich milk and rice noodles served in ceramic pots; both were delicious. The hotel's exterior is the white building on the far left of image 4 below. We stayed for two nights, originally planning for a backup day in case we missed the 'Golden Mountain in the Morning Sun' phenomenon, but we were incredibly lucky to witness it beautifully on both days. The scenery was absolutely stunning.

The views are absolutely stunning, with our balcony directly facing Meili Snow Mountain. The scenery is just as good, if not better, than at the observation deck, saving us the hassle of braving the cold early in the morning to grab a good spot. Parking right at the hotel entrance is super convenient, and the breakfast was also great.

Back in 2020, my first encounter with Meili Snow Mountain was staying at this very place, Shard. Back then, it felt like this was the only hotel in Wunongding. We arrived in the dark and I remember wondering where on earth I'd gotten myself into. We didn't get to see the 'golden peaks in the sun' that time because of the weather, and it's been a lingering desire ever since. Fast forward to 2026, and Wunongding has really livened up! There's a whole row of hotels, and the viewing platforms are bustling with stalls selling food. This time, I finally witnessed the 'golden peaks in the sun' – truly beautiful and magnificent. Shard is still as great as ever. The young men and women working there are so genuine. Many hotels and guesthouses actively solicit good reviews, but not here. I was particularly fond of the little cat at the hotel. I even messaged them later to ask about it, and even then, they didn't ask me for a good review. That made me feel really good, so I genuinely want to give them a great review.

The rooms are beautiful and come with professional oxygen concentrators. The hotel faces Meili Snow Mountain directly, offering excellent photo opportunities for both the "Golden Mountain in Sunlight" and "Silver Mountain in Moonlight" phenomena. The Wunongding viewing platform is just 20 meters from the hotel entrance. The owner is also very thoughtful and kind. In the evening, they thoughtfully covered the windshields of all guests' cars and brought us Tremella soup. Breakfast was also very rich and plentiful.
