Deqin Sensation Butter Tea Inn

Now, if you have made it all the way to Yubeng as far as it is from everything in the world, then you must be here to hike. The butter tea inn is probably the best hostel that exist in Yubeng. The owner is from chongqing and he can make all of the amazing chongqing dishes that you can think of, the inn is very cheap to stay in but of course the food can be very expensive but it’s definitely worth it. He has heated beds, hot water, and a very beautiful view of the Snow Mountain also is located in upper Yubeng village, so any of the higher level hikes that you like to go to? It’s located in the perfect spot I highly recommend you stay at this hostile first upon arrival.

Good location, close to the start of the Glacier Lake trail. Feel a bit catfished but what you pay is what you get and the room was at least tidy and clean. Wooden building so soundproofing is poor - ear plugs are a must as you will hear every conversation and step. If there are no other guests, should be fine. Shared bathroom has plenty of hot water but is a bit run down. Food is apparently decent but didn’t get the chance to try

Family guesthouse with hot showers, cozy decor, and friendly cats. The outdoor terrace attached to our room was sunny and cute, but faced mostly the village rather than the mountains. As with almost everywhere else in the village right now, there is construction going on from early in the morning until late at night.

Best place in Upper Yubbeng. The rooms are decorated nicely. They are clean! Bathrooms are a bit old but and rusty CLEAN! View is fantastic. You do face the village but there is a rooftop as common space and you get a 360 view of all the mountains and it's a bit further from the bigger hotels so less light polution which means you can see the stars a bit clearer. Shooting starts, THE MILKY WAY, so amazing. There are 2 rooms with balcony..highly recommend booking one of these. Great hot water. Cozy beds and soft warm cosy blankets. Felt so homey. The Host is cool. speaks pretty good English. AND HIS FOOD!!! OMG. BEST FOOD in town! JUST THE MAN IS A GOD IN THE KITCHEN. The place was always busy for dinner and he cooks everything himself so arrive early or arrive with patience because he cooks this first come first seve. VERY SAD to have left. I could have eaten his food for weeks! Just absolutely the Best place to stay. OH forgot to mention, initially I had booked Gap Time Inn, lucky for me they overbooked. (their rooms were CRAP). so i dodged a bullet by switching to here. This place has everything Gap has and more, but if you want you can still visit Gap Time to hang at there nicely decorated deck, you don't have to be a hotel guest of theirs. =)
