Xicen Summer House on Mogan Mountain

What a fantastic trip! This place is so quiet and beautiful, it was exactly what I needed to relax and clear my head. The owners are absolutely wonderful; they even drove us to Intime when we couldn't get a taxi, and the next day they asked if we needed a pre-booked car to the high-speed rail station. I also have to rave about their food! Seriously, it's incredibly delicious, every single dish was amazing! At night, it's just like I remember from childhood, so peaceful with only the sound of crickets. And finally, I have to mention the little welcoming expert—Bai Wan! Such an adorable and affectionate dog, truly a popular little star!

So comfortable, and the views are absolutely stunning! It was incredibly relaxing to just hide away in the room and listen to the rain. The dinner was also super delicious! It's such a shame they don't open a full-fledged restaurant!! When it rained on our way back and we couldn't get a taxi, the owner even helped us find a driver to pick us up – so incredibly helpful! And the dogs are adorable, so chubby and cute, haha.

Stayed here with my sister while we were traveling, and we dug up a lot of bamboo shoots during our trip. The owner even helped us store them in the fridge to keep them fresh. Thumbs up for this amazing place! 😀 Highly recommend! 👍

Despite the hot weather, it was wonderfully cool and comfortable inside, perfect for a relaxing weekend.

The room was incredibly spacious, featuring a separate bedroom and a large living room. The living room itself was a glass structure built directly over a small stream, which was absolutely stunning. The owners, a young couple, were incredibly friendly and charming. Breakfast was served on the rooftop terrace, which would be ideal for gatherings or small events during the spring and autumn seasons.

We headed up to the guesthouse after dark... The mountain road was certainly something, so winding and twisty it practically gave my mom high blood pressure! Lol! And it was raining the whole way, which really added to the atmosphere! When we arrived, the owner took us to our room, holding an umbrella for us and helping with our luggage... fantastic service! A very healthy breakfast was prepared in the morning! We'd booked the twin room right above the stream. Our room connected to a huge glass sunroom outside, which was really unique. Below us, the stream gurgled gently... if it had poured with rain, it would have been absolutely incredible! What a shame though, I booked it specifically because the weather forecast predicted heavy rain, but it didn't end up raining that heavily... a bit disappointing! I talked to the owner about wanting to try the 270-degree view room, and he mentioned it involves climbing about 80 steps... Definitely a must-try for next time! Overall, it was a wonderful experience! Would happily recommend it to friends.

The guesthouse owner was very friendly, and the service was excellent. They were always happy to accommodate any requests we had.
