La Petronilla Boutique Hotel Moganshan

Run by an Italian owner, the ambiance is fantastic and the Italian-style food comes highly recommended. There's a bonfire in the evenings, and the kids absolutely loved the pool. It's a great spot for a weekend getaway.

The hotel is right next to a bamboo forest, making it very convenient for walks. The hygiene is excellent; both the room and common areas are spotless. The bedding, bath towels, and bathrobes are all of superb quality – high-thread count, thick, pristine white, and brand new. The hotel restaurant offers both Chinese and Italian cuisine. We dined exclusively at the hotel during our stay and tried the Chinese dishes. It's home-style cooking, and the bamboo chicken soup, braised bamboo shoots in oil, and braised pork belly were all exceptional; highly recommended. Additionally, the hotel offered a pleasant surprise: a choice between red wine, afternoon tea, or pizza making. Lastly, I want to thank the entire service team. Their service was efficient throughout, proactive yet never intrusive. They effortlessly switched between Mandarin, Shanghainese, and English, and were always ready to assist. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable short stay, and we will definitely return.
