Staybridge Suites DES MOINES DOWNTOWN by IHG

Desirable location in East Village , parking garage attached for Convenience. Comfortable, clean and spacious room . Nice gym with a variety of equipment, the pool and hot tub area were very enjoyable. Hotel had a nice welcoming environment with a Den equipped with board games , nice touch that the laundry room was free and they had healthier breakfast choices than most other hotels offer .

I’ll start by saying the staff here were all amazing. We stayed in a king suite. When we went to pull the sleeper sofa out it was stained with pee and the mattress was worn out. We ended up having to rent a second room which they offered to us at a discount which was nice. The hotel is just in need of a refurb and for $350/night I could have stayed at the Hilton. Location was good.

I would highly NOT recommend staying here at this property. Management is terrible and won’t call us back. Room was at 75 degrees the entire night and management couldn’t fix it. Breakfast was out and never refilled. DO NOT STAY at this property.

The staff were helpful, friendly, and cheerful. We were welcomed whenever we encountered a staff person. The maintenance guy even helped us locate our car in the multilevel parking garage! Loved the experience!

Hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms and overall condition of the property was clean and in excellent condition. I did not provide a 5 star review because I specifically chose this place because they offered a 6:30am breakfast time and it was near my work. Both mornings that breakfast was available to me, it was closer to 7am before the hot food was ready and I had to skip breakfast on the morning of my checkout. Just beware that although the signs say breakfast starts at 6:30, the hot food is not ready at that time.

It was close to the hospital/costs too much to park for what you have to pay for the room/staff was a tad rude

Spacious suite with door between bedroom and living areas. On check-in, Parker explained our parking options (rapidly, with an obvious intent to suggest we pay for the $20/daily unlimited in-and-out hotel parking; with a statement that he didn't know the cost of parking on the street (it's $1.25/hour from 9 am to 9 pm; free overnight) and that the ramp across the way was $10/day with no in and out.
