Piccola Vela

This hotel is just beautiful and better looking than on the pictures! We arrived around 8pm and Checkin took 3min! Our room 236 with pool view had small balcony, safe, good hairdryer, all the toiletries even for shaving and lots towels including two for swimming pool. Rooms are spotless clean and cleaners come every day. It’s a small boutique hotel but it’s just perfect for anyone who likes traveling outside season. We came here at the end of September and hotel was quiet with almost nobody around the pool! There are 2 pools. One small is heated and on the top floor they have jacuzzi heated to 37C. This is a perfect place to watch sunset too! Breakfast was good enough for me because we only stayed for 3 nights. Food was the same every day but maybe because they were quiet and no need to cook so much food? In season may be more options. If you take left as soon as you leave hotel and continue walking for about 10min there are lots shops and restaurants near the water. Fairy to Garda takes 1,5h and cost €9 one way. Plant to go back at sunset if that’s your thing.Honestly, I am very picky when it comes to hotels but this one I just love!! Overall we had a fantastic stay because it was quiet, extremely clean and incredible friendly people working there with beautiful and plenty facilities to relax!

Beautiful hotel close to the centre of town and the lake. Fab location to explore Desenzano and the lake, 10 minutes walk to the ferry and train station. Comfortable room and great air conditioning. Staff were friendly and always happy to help. Breakfast buffet had something for every taste from cooked breakfast, cold meats and cheeses, plenty of fruit, pastries, breads and much more. The gardens and pools were calming and great to chill after a busy day. Thank you for a wonderful stay

The hotel & staff were excellent. Hotel is well positioned for train and ferry links with a god variety of eating options within a short walk. Down side, the hotel is situated on a fairly busy road which can be noisy during the day. Overall a good hotel.

This is a comfortable hotel it's location is good close to the lake, you only need to cross the road, it has nice gardens and two pools, plenty of seating areas and very helpful friendly staff. The bedroom was spacious with an excellent bathroom.The breakfast was excellent and could be eaten inside or outside in the garden. They were unable to find a taxi for us to the station and so took us in their car free of charge. Excellent service

As I work for a Travel Agency I have been blessed to stay in many hotels… Piccola Vela has to be one of my favourites..It is a beautiful small Boutique hotel set in lovely grounds. The staff are so helpful and friendly and work very hard to make sure that standards are high at all times. Our room had everything you wanted including breathtaking lake views. It feels like you are staying in someone’s majestic home. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful and certainly set you up for a day of sightseeing around the stunning Lake Garda. The hotel is perfectly situated for the Ferry, Bus and Train. Venice and Milan are within easy reach. A 10 minute stroll takes you into the centre of Desenzano with its abundance of restaurants and shops. I can highly recommend a stay here to everyone and look forward to returning one day. Memories to treasure 💕🇮🇹

What a lovely hotel! We have just spent 5 nights here with my brother and sister in law. This has to be one of the friendliest hotels we have stayed at! We had emailed them before we arrived to ask for some restaurant recommendations and also to book a transfer for us from the airport. They answered all my emails very quickly and happy to book the restaurants and the transfer for us and that was before we even arrived, great service! Thank you to Valter and all the staff there that made our trip amazing! The rooms were very clean and the air conditioning was brilliant. The breakfast was a buffet with lots of fresh fruit, scrambled eggs and bacon, so much to choose from every morning. We used the sun beds and the large swimming pool which was on the cool side but very refreshing on the hot days we was there! We also used the bar service as well. Thank you again, we can’t wait to come back!

We would go back in a heartbeat. This is an excellent small hotel and a perfect base for exploring the south of Lake Garda. The hotel is kept immaculately. The grounds and pool areas are so relaxing with both shade and sun to be found. There are plenty of seating areas inside and out for drinks or some food. The staff are welcoming and really do go above and beyond. If you speak only a little Italian like me, not to worry as the staff had excellent English. The room we were in had a beautiful balcony with partially view of the lake but overlooking the grounds alone is a nice outlook. Bed was very comfortable and tv and smart functionality so you can log in to your streaming accounts if you wish. Breakfast was great- mainly continental. 10 minute walk to the port at desenzano, 20 minute walk to the train station. 2 minute walk to the shores of the lake. Thank you to the staff who make this hotel so special.

Lovely hotel close to the historic center of Desenzano del Garda. Charming and spacious with lush gardens and two pools. Our room opened onto the gorgeous rear garden. Very special. Easy access to town and transport. Highlight of our stay were the staff - so helpful and kind - both at the front desk and in the restaurant. Shout out to Adam and his team and to Gloria - they really made the stay memorable with recommendations, assistance and welcoming hospitality.
