Stolen jewelry. Broken door locks. Dirty rooms. Dirty sheets and towels. These are just some of the many disappointing things we experienced during our stay at Bravo. For a long-standing and well-known resort in Siargao, we expected much better. From the moment we checked in, the room was dusty and poorly maintained. The sheets and towels were heavily stained, and one of our rooms had a broken sliding door lock. We immediately informed the staff, and while they promised to clean the room and fix the lock, neither issue was properly resolved. Even after housekeeping, the replacement sheets and towels were still dirty, and the lock remained broken. We ended up using our own beach towels, covering the pillows with our shirts, and improvising a way to secure the door ourselves. The most upsetting part, however, was discovering that my mother's gold necklace had gone missing. We realized it while on our way to the airport and immediately contacted the resort. Although they initially assured us they would take the matter seriously, hours passed before they responded, despite seeing our messages and missing our calls. When they finally replied, they only said what they would do, with no indication that any action had actually been taken. Since then, they have stopped responding altogether. We understand that problems can happen at any resort. What is much harder to accept is the lack of urgency, accountability, and follow-through in addressing them. Sadly, our experience at Bravo was nothing but disappointing.
