Greco Philia Hotel Boutique

This was not a good hotel experience, and absolutely not a 5-star property. Although the staff were helpful and friendly, issues like bugs, cat urine and sewage smell were the issues we encountered. Upon arrival, we were informed that the room we booked was unavailable and were moved to a so-called "upgraded" villa. The villa had bugs inside the room and bathroom, a strong cat urine odor, dirty and outdated furniture, and no sea view despite this being what we had specifically booked and paid for. Cats were even drinking from the pool. When we asked to see our original room category, we found a strong sewage smell coming from the bathroom, making that room unsuitable as well. We were then told that a suitable replacement would not be available until the next day, forcing us to spend the night in unacceptable conditions. This experience has caused us a lot of stress and we checked out the following day. The property was nothing like the photos or descriptions online (at least not what we were given) which we found highly misleading. The cleanliness, maintenance, and overall standards were far below what anyone would expect from a hotel claiming to be 5-star. The most disappointing part was that despite reporting these issues immediately and leaving early because of them, the hotel refused to refund the unused nights. Avoid if you value cleanliness and honesty!

The staff were polite and helpful but the property is dated and needs some upgrades. The view from the property is great but pretty far away from the city center.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE – DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, STAY HERE. From the moment we walked into the room, we were hit with the overwhelming stench of raw sewage. It was nauseating, unbearable, and impossible to ignore. The room we were given looked nothing like the photos advertised online — what they’re selling is pure false advertising. Dingy, dirty, and disgusting. We were so appalled by the smell and condition that we had no choice but to immediately leave and find another hotel, paying out of pocket just to escape this nightmare. To make matters worse, the staff was completely unhelpful, dismissive, and downright rude. They refused to issue a refund and instead strung us along with excuse after excuse, showing zero accountability for the appalling state of their property. It felt like a deliberate scam — take your money, stick you in a health hazard of a room, then ignore your complaints. This was hands down the worst hotel experience of my life. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. It’s filthy, misleading, and run by people who clearly don’t care about their guests. Avoid this place at all costs — spend your money literally anywhere else.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE DO NOT STAY HERE. Bar area and Room smelt like sewage, room in picture that we booked looks nothing like it in real life. Very disappointed. It smelt so bad we had to leave and book a new hotel. They refused to give us a refund and continued to give us the run around. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. We didn’t even take our bags out of the car it was so bad.

My stay at Greco Philia in Mykonos was a complete disappointment and absolutely not worth the money. The air conditioning was broken nearly the entire trip, and despite calling multiple times, no one showed up to fix it until the fourth or fifth day—and even then, it wasn’t resolved. The room was dirty, the sink kept flooding, and we were barely given any towels. Every morning started with loud construction noise, and the food service was awful—orders took over 50 minutes, and the same person at the bar was making the food, when he was even there at all. The listing promised shuttle service, but that was a lie too—no one would drive up the dangerously steep hill the hotel is on, leaving us stranded. Overall, this was a terrible experience with false advertising, poor service, and no accountability. I’ve asked for a refund, and if it’s not processed, I’ll be disputing the charge.

N Nice property. Poor breakfast selection not covered from flies, and staff was unfriendly. No real restaurant to speak of. The room pool was cold and it is incredibly windy in Mykonos so not able to use. Getting around is expensive and challenging. Room had a beautiful view, check in and maintenance staff was very responsive. Phone in room did not work. check in staff said to call if need anything however the phone did not work to do so and at times we needed help it was not available. Hotel pool was never used (by us or others) as the wind is too much. The best thing about this hotel is the view and our 2 bedroom room was nice. However for this price I would have stayed elsewhere.

From the moment we arrived at Greco Philia, we were blown away by the warm hospitality and stunning surroundings. Every member of the staff — from reception to the bar, restaurant, and room service — was incredibly friendly, professional, and always eager to help. You really feel taken care of here. Our room had an unbelievable view of Elia Beach, which we could enjoy right from our private terrace and pool. It felt like our own secluded oasis — peaceful, luxurious, and perfectly Mykonian. A great bonus was the free transportation service. We loved spending time at the beach knowing we could just call and be picked up quickly and easily to head back to the hotel. It made everything so seamless and relaxing. The combination of beautiful views, thoughtful service, and laid-back luxury made this one of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had!

My wife Monique and I Greg decided to visit this hotel to celebrate 20 years of marriage. This was the best choice we could have made. The staff made us feel welcomed when we arrived. When we left we were extended family Eugenia, Spediro, housekeeping, kitchen staff, transportation property manager eveyone there was awesome. We will definitely recommend this hotels
