Fantasea Beach Resort

I recently had an unfortunate experience with Fantasea Beach Resort in Devbag, and I feel compelled to share my disappointment. When booking a three-day stay from December 21 to December 23, I paid a 50% advance, totaling Rs. 6000. Despite their verbal assurance of a flexible cancellation policy, the reality was far from what was promised. When I inquired about the refund, I was informed about a 50% penalty, and the resort failed to provide any written documentation supporting this claim. Furthermore, when I reached out for clarification and requested a receipt with the cancellation policy and the deducted amount, the communication from Fantasea Beach Resortswas unprofessional and lacked transparency. There was a delay in response, and when I finally received a reply, it was vague and did not address my concerns adequately. The lack of professionalism and failure to honor their commitment have left me with a bitter experience. I had recommended the resort for a same-day booking, but the unavailability of rooms during the recommended period further adds to the disappointment. I am an old customer, having stayed in his resort four times, once with my five families. I have given references to ***y friends. Still, he behaves like this only for Rs. 3000. I confirmed my booking on November 27 and canceled it on November 29, and still, about a 50% penalty for second day cancellation. I hope this review serves as a cautionary tale for others considering Fantasea Beach Resort in Devbag. It's disheartening when a business falls short of its promises and fails to uphold basic customer service standards. My trust in the resort has been shattered, and I would caution anyone thinking of booking with them to reconsider. The restaurant is terrible. We were only 2 customers, one staff got our order. They were dancing all behind the frontdesk..., we never had that we ordered. They forgot 2 plates! And the best was that they didnt forget to put it in the bill!!!

Undoubtedly the view from hotel is awesome. Rooms are big but no phone, no glasses, no water to drink in the room, no lift so everytime you need something and if your room is on 1st or 2nd floor you need to come down to ask for anything you want. Be assured whatever you are asking is going to take minimum 20-30 mins and sometimes you would need to go down again to ask for what you need. I figured out it's not because the staff is bad but because it's only one staff to help you with everything. They are overworked & I found Jyoti mam ( so called caretaker of hotel) very rude. You have to think twice if you are gonna ask something twice to her. Food is thali system and you need to tell them beforehand is you are going for lunch or dinner. I loved the food as it tasted totally home cooked. 5000/- per night is highly highly overpriced. As the staff is only one or max 2 be ready to wait for your food for more than 30 mins. We drove from Pune to Fantasea and by evening superbly tired. We asked for their veg thali in dinner and I slept on chair while waiting endlessly for my food. ***agement need to look at these matters as they have one of the best location with poor service. Bed linen and towels provided were average, carry your toiletries as you won't get anything other then a small pink soap bar.
