Muong Thanh Grand Dien Bien Phu Hotel Reviews

Check in was fast and absolutely pleasant. We could check in an hour early. I will give over 10 stars to the staff. They are efficient, pleasant and with right hospitality mind. Our room was spacious, spot on. Good air-con and ample hot water. Big decent tv. Full shaving kit was there. In my previous review i have mentioned about the mattress being spring and sinking in the middle making it was hard to sleep but the next room’s mattress was good. Room rate included free breakfast and it was wonderful. There was a really good array. Perfect breakfast consisting of something for everyone. All the dishes we tried were absolutely delicious. Big points trom us. Room service meals we ordered were also really good. Location is great. Not far from the attractions. We had a great stay. We recommend them.

When checking in, Le Tan answered the phone, stood at the counter waiting to finish the welcome drink, still answered the phone, went to the chair to wait, but didn't see him and asked what the guest needed. I booked 1 VIP room and 1 room. couple for the family, Le Tan asked everyone to go to the counter like taking roll call. When going to room 503, the magnetic card could not be opened and had to ask the receptionist to change another card. In the VIP room there is a bathtub with a sprinkler system, but when When it turned on, there was a short circuit, the power turned off, so the electrician came in and cut it off. According to the motto, leave it there, so the electrician took it out, no longer using it, the wifi only had 1 bar. Although the 4-star hotel is in the same Muong Thanh system, there is no welcome fruit like Muong Thanh Lai Chau, Muong Thanh Thanh Youth only has 3 stars. Upon arrival, the room is beautiful, the central location is convenient, there is only the Reception service is not as demanding as other Muong bars

I stayed three nights here for my visit to tour the Dien Bien Phu 1954 battle sites. No negatives. Pleasant staff. Good size room with a comfortable bed. Clean. Breakfast selection okay. Fast WiFi. I ate in the restaurant two evenings and the meals were fine. It’s walkable or a short taxi ride to most of the 1954 sites and the museum. If you want a massage then the salon just outside the hotel entrance on the main road is very good.

My family and I had the most amazing time in DBP. What a beautiful corner of Vietnam. The hotel is very comfortable with ultra friendly and caring staff. Modern facilities, great service and centrally located. I would highly recommend this hotel to international visitors. We hired their car and driver and we went to the main attractions in the region. It’s such a beautiful place !! Thank you. The manager speaks perfect English and was able to provide us with good recommendations.

Best hotel in town among all others by far. Recently renovated rooms and facilities, friendly staff, convenient location, decent breakfast make this hotel a good choice for travelers. Easy access to taxis are also a plus. It has a spa too. Recommended!

My family and I returned to Vietnam to revisit the old battlefield of Dien Bien Phu, which I had heard about from my grandfather. The atmosphere here is great, the atmosphere is festive, the people are great. Roads are also developed but there seems to be a lot of construction going on. The hotel is like a small oasis, quite peaceful and not noisy. The driver was quite interesting, he used google translate. Although both sides did not communicate directly, I found him quite cheerful, friendly and very affectionate. I appreciate your flexibility.

I had stayed at other Muong Thanh locations in Việt Nam and was happy with my choices. However, the Dien Bien Grand location did not meet my expectations despite the fact that it was on the higher end in town. My room smells musty as if it had not been occupied for a long time. The musty odor only evaporated after a few hours with the AC on. The pool appeared unused and the pool water did not look inviting. Breakfast was supposed to be from 6:00 until 9:00. My wife and I came to breakfast around 6:45 on both days yet most of the food were already taken by large tour groups (the hotel was fully sold out during our stay.) We thought that surely food will be replenished since breakfast was still being served for another couple of hours. We were wrong. Of course, there was still food but it consisted of items that no one wanted. I do not blame this on the staff. It must be the management and hotel policy. I have had better breakfast at less expensive hotels in Việt Nam.

I have stayed at the Muong Thanh Grand hotel in Dien Bien Phu on many occasions. The staff are always polite and professional and the services are great. There is a swimming pool, conference centre, restaurant, breakfast included if required and hotel is close to many of the historical sites. It is always a pleasure staying here and I will do so again before this year ends.
