My room had inadequate heat, no desk chair and the phone line was cut
Thankfully Jennifer was able to switch me to a nearby room
At breakfast when I informed the front desk that the coffee was empty they looked at each other and said “who’s on breakfast” and did nothing else since it was time for them to leave
I found the breakfast person who had a full container waiting
Apparently she had not checked it since breakfast opened an hour ago
Other than the aforementioned Jennifer I found the staff untrained unprofessional and immature
I will not stay here again

This is the second year we have stayed at this hotel. Great staff, clean, well maintained, very good breakfast and convenient to the west side of Lansing and highways.

Rusty bathtub, cleaning crew came in before was time to checkout, staff was rude. Wouldn’t stay again.

Check in was easy and person was nice. We had a hot tub room and the hot tub didn’t work and they moved us to a new room. Used the hot tub in the room and the hot tub was very weak and really not worth the hassle of moving rooms. A discount would have been better. But the girl at the desk was nice.

The room and front desk staff were great. The breakfast, however, was disappointing. Normally Holiday Inn Express has great breakfasts but this one was lacking. No juices were available other than apple. The pancake machine was never loaded. The eggs were either incredibly dry or very wet, no in between. No individual syrup so any time someone wanted syrup with their biscuits or sausage (because there were no pancakes) they had to use the ONE bottle. The trash’s were overflowing constantly. There was one fella working, so I’m sure he was overwhelmed but it was disheartening to see.

Older concept Holiday Inn Express showing it’s age - rusted bathtub and deteriorating grout in bathroom - maintenance is needed

Mold all in shower bathtub area and you can hear everyone in other rooms.
